TheColbertinator1619d ago least someone is getting games for Vita >_>

konorbeatz1619d ago

Large amount of Visual Novels there, I wonder will many of them be localised... Still nice to see plenty coming to the Vita in general!

Wow a bunch of romance novels, gonna run out and buy a Vita right now. Cmon where is another Pursuit Force? or spin offs of Uncharted, Last of Us, Assassins Creed or God of War? or some racing games like another Wipeout, Need for Speed, GT Vita or Driveclub for the Vita?? Such wasted potential, all of these franchises, all of that power they crammed into the device and they have very little to show for it. I really wanted to get one but I waited for more games to come to the device. Kept waiting and waiting and waiting and nothing. Its all console ports, Japanese games and indies now which Im not interested in at all. Guess I just have to stick with my PSP and look for some games that Ive missed.

Well, the only reason to buy a Vita is Japanese games.

If you dont like Japanese games, then you're out of luck. Good thing I like Japanese games :)

I like japanese games. Jrpgs? Great stuff. Hack and slash games? Japanese horror? Gravity rush? Love it.

But this? Visual novels for ladies, visual novels about forbidden sibling love???

Yeah. Those are great titles there, definitely worth the 250 dollars for powerful handheld hardware.

If you want japanese games, the 3ds is a better option. The jrpg options on vita are basically persona 4 the golden (awesome game even if it is just an hd remake with a few extras) Final Fantasy X hd (also great but better on other platforms and again, just an hd port) and soul sacrifice (good game, not much to say).

3ds for jrpgs? Fire emblem is amazing, pokemon x and y as well as the gba remakes, monster hunter 3 and 4, xenoblade chronicles (just a port and only new 3ds so i don't count it as much), bravely default, devil survivor 2, etrian odyssey 4, persona q, shin megami tensei 4, and mario and luigi dream team are all worth getting. And they are mostly their own games, not ports.

I loved the psp, it might be my favorite handheld ever. But the vita is so disapointing in comparison, a 250 dollar paper weight. I think when you say that you are out of luck if you don't like japanese games, I think you just mean Japanese visual novels.

Are they even still making gravity rush 2.

MegaRay1619d ago (Edited 1619d ago )

@cpayne93 Of course I meant other Japanese games. Not these VN for ladies lol

3DS might have more JRPGs than Vita but in my opinion, Vita JRPGs are better (specially the ones that push the hardware). But yeah must games are on other systems as well, but that stop *me* from enjoying them.

Edit: and about Gravity Rush 2. Even if its still happining, i think it will be a PS4 exclusive, knowing Sony.

Ys memories of celceta, and another new ys game coming out also, freedom wars, tales of hearts R and a lot more.... you're dismissing the vita too quickly... so what it also has visual novels ? Nobody is making you buy those any more than they are making you buy the machine.

Name Vita JRPG that better than the following on 3DS that not Persona 4 Golden/ Localized games and no ports or remakes. By better I mean AMAZING games not good games.

Fire Emblem Awakening
Bravely Default
Shin Megami Tensei IV
Rune Factory 4
Etrian Odyssey IV
Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance
Mario & Luigi Dream Team
Fantasy Life
I want to know. Because I don't really think Vita has amazing JRPG games localized. There many good ones though.

Ys Memories of Celceta
Soul Sacrifice Delta

Better than all those games you've mentioned, in my opinion. As is Final Fantasy X, regardless of it being a port, its a huge JRPG that looks amazing on Vita. And better yet, they don't look like games a PSP can run. A lot of those games you mentioned aren't that good lol

Also I love how you said "and not Persona 4 Golden" because that game destroys anything on 3DS

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory1618d ago (Edited 1618d ago )

No I said dont say Persona 4 Golden because I said
" Localized games and no ports or remakes. "

I played FFX on PS2. played it again on my Vita.
Played Persona 4 Golden.

Soul Sacrifice I wouldn't consider than JRPG like Ys Memories of Celceta or Oreshika. Or the ones I mention.

Didn't like it either though I put a good amount of hours into it.

Oreshika only played the demo of it and it was boring to me.

I still need Ys and Demon Gaze.

And for you to say Oreshika is better than Fire Emblem Awakening is laughable but whatever. I don't know why Vita owners always downplaying 3DS.

Nice to know 3 great JRPG games for you.

TheFirstClassic1618d ago (Edited 1618d ago )

@Blastoise I can't see any of those three games you mentioned beginning to touch Fire Emblem. Persona 4 does, but its still a hd port. Nothing wrong with having that on there, but it isn't bringing much new stuff to the table either.

Although it has horrid graphics, I would say MH4 destroys SS Delta, to make a comparison of two more similar games. Oreshika is meh imo, but Ys is pretty good. Not better than half the jrpgs on 3ds, but it is pretty good. Neither of those two touch Fire Emblem, and none of those games fared all that impressively critically, unlike a few 3ds games.

Ugh, "otome" is where I lost interest. I knew it was too good to be true.
