Does no good when they block Non JP ips

SquidBuck3589d ago

Well in the US nothing is blocked.

lemoncake3589d ago

If blocked use a vpn, problem solved?

KillerResistance3589d ago

@squidbuck , no no no, u arent understanding, they blocked non JP ips as in if u arent in Asia, u aint getting on Phantasy Star Public server. And YES, including US.

Eien3589d ago

@KillerResistance The game is a F2P download and is not IP blocked at all. There was an ISP block due to DDOS attacks last year but that has been cleared up for months. The issue would mainly not being able to use the English patch for it.

Such a soft spot for PSO.

Not sure I'm happy if sad PSO2 never came this way, as free to play mmorpgs are about as fun as a punch in the throat. Would love a proper sequel though. Hoping Scalebound captures some of what made PSO fun, but that's optimistic.

WoW is a mess and it will continue to be a mess. Still, the less-developed MMOs are going to have trouble gaining a fan base because they lack content right now. Even if people do flock to FF14 or BDO, they'll go back to WoW if they fix enough features or give players a shred of hope.

Didn't know people still played this game

Jiub1401d ago

Fewer people for certain but still a lot of people.

gleepot1401d ago

Nah, I'll keep playing the game with the millions of other people. The writing on the wall says "game is not dead" even though people have claimed it is for 15 years.

Jiub1401d ago

I'd guess that people are going to filter out but then come back for the next expac when the turmoil is over. I do worry about content delays, though.
