Microsoft has revealed the final box art for upcoming Xbox One action-shooter Quantum Break.
Liking the new cover way more. Liking the new hero less, somehow annoying face, less charismatic.
They look like people...
Digital baby, who gives a **** about cover art, I'll never see it.
I don't know which is old or new, but the second/bottom one with the teleporting/worm tunnel effect seems to portray what the game is about more than the first/top one being your average dudebro action hero stance and nothing at all about the game. Based on that, I'm assuming the good one is the old one and the generic one is the new one. Hopefully I'm wrong and the second one is the new one. I don't care enough to research it though, since I don't own an Xbone.
He looks more like a Hollywood actor which is what Remedy is aiming for. I think the new look is fine and people will get use to him.
He IS a Hollywood actor! Microsoft wants this game to succeed so bad they are just dumping money into it. Surely you noticed a few other big celebrities at Gamescom...
Yeah I did notice little finger and the black guy from the wire. I am glad MS is pumping money into this game and hope it pays off for remedy...those guys are awesome and deserve the sales.
He looks alot more like his real life counterpart Shawn Ashmore in the new cover. I like it.
I like the new the look
I think I like the original art better. I'm liking the blue background over the white.
Neither of them are are a good showcase for time-manipulation. Remedy can do better than this.
Agree old was more attractive even the original trailer and game demo. IT Looks like a generic game now.
The cover looks real good better than original.
Actually I like both, maybe the first a little bit more... I'm really looking forward for the next Remedy masterpiece. (But please, after QB, make another Alan Wake!)
Cover will not make the game worse but I'm a bit worried about how much the game uses special effects (time powers)..I think there's too much of it...:/. Barely a steady picture will eventually become annoying.
The demos we've seen are almost-certainly running with 'cheats' enabled - in this case, the cooldowns on Jack's abilities, god-mode and possibly unlimited ammo (difficult to tell with the HUD switched off)... it's common-practice for gameplay demos at E3/Gamescom type events. Devs figure that if the player doesn't die, they can show more of the game... and if said player has unlimited 'time-juice'? All the better. That said, Remedy's other games have been tough... Quantum Break's combat will likely require a more measured, tactical approach than what we've seen from the playtesters.
You have not played Alan Wake or Max Payne have you. Remedy will make it work.
I'm not really a fan using real actors likenesses in games. I prefer when they create new people. Also, if this series lasts 20 years, will they have to try and pay these people to star in their subsequent games. How much of the cost is going into hiring big name faces too. Of all the most memorable game characters in the past 10 years, none of them have been real actors.
There have been heaps of great performances from actors in videogames... Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe in Beyond: Two Souls, Sam Witwer in Star Wars: the Force Unleashed, Krysten Bell in Assassin's Creed and the entire cast of LA Noire all gave great performances. Quantum Break has a live-action show, so it makes sense for Remedy to use seasoned actors... it would have been rather difficult to find unknowns with experience in mo-cap, television and green-screen performance.
Wow. Way to pick nothing but more bad examples. I think Microsoft needs to let Remedy do their own thing, instead of giving them more money to just sling around.
The new cover is fine but the new 'hero' looks bland. He looks like a old-looking teenager in one of these CW dramas.
He IS! He literally is. They're banking on celebrities to drive sales with this game, and I really hoe it back fires. This is becoming more and more generic.
It's one thing to not be interested in something. It's another thing to hope someones hard work fails. Kind of harsh. Also Remedys plan has been to have real actors doing some of the live action/drama show that is accompanying the game. Kind of important to nail the acting part if you ask me. As it could reflect on the game poorly.
He's the damn IceMan, and he's better than the old guy its just a little weird adjusting to him.
I will be getting it digitally so....really not bothered.
Yep I'm in the same boat. Both covers look good anyway lol
I like the old one better
I love it. Shawn Ashmore is amazing.
Old cover looks better in every way,and even the the person looks and suits way better due to the more mature look, than Ashmore. Why on hell do we need to play like Ashmore,i always find more suitable to get in the games mood when im playing someone i dont know or better yet dont exist, the reason i love customize my player to my likings also.Im not Ashmore!
Glad they changed the original from the "bro-walk" however the new art isn't that much better in my opinion. As Genuine User said earlier, they could have done a better job creating a cover representing time manipulation.
Look no further than Psy-Ops. Lol.
That point where a game looks like a tv series.... its so realistic to look at, only interactive unlike tv. I can't wait!
At least it hasn't gone all blue and orange.
the main guy looks like a typical nerd, i prefered the nathan drake, solid snake, marcus fenix look. you know the badass tough image.
You calling iceman a nerd? /jks
Seriously the old cover looked miles better a more mature character with personality looks bad ass actually, but the new cover looks softer, a character that looks forced to be bad ass but in the transitions fails miserably, still I'm interested in this game cause I mean is the freaking creator of Max Paine in the end!!
I'm not sure I like it. It's a little bland IMO. But it's just a box art in the end. Who cares.
This game looks as bland as shit.
Looks like the best tps of 2016 with the best graphics and gameplay seen on consoles by miles
Definitely liking the new cover.
Both cover arts were very generic but I preferred the old one over the new one.
I've had this game pre-ordered since June of '13 and it looks incredibly awesome. That being said, both the old and new covers are just a white guy with a gun; aka the unarguable biggest cliche' in all of gaming box art. Wasted opportunity for something cool.
New one better. Hope game is good and tv tie in is not necessary for sp enjoyment since I have no intention in watching tv so I can understand the game or vice versa.
