NDTV says: "With Gamescom 2015 done and dusted, we've had time to digest the veritable smorgasbord of games that we've managed to experience during the course of the event. As the biggest show dedicated to video games, there was a lot to check out, even more than we expected. "

Crackdown, Scalebound, Quantumbreak, Halo 5, RotTR, Fable. They are clearly leaving off the best games just because they are Xone exclusives.

Was Fable even shown at Gamescom? Either way I'm pretty sure that games like Mirror's Edge & Mafia 3 are arguably more worthy contenders for game of show than Fable, specifically Mafia 3 considering it was a brand new playable reveal. Also Quantum Break looked very cool but it was a 2 minute trailer w/ no playable demo shown so that's gotta bring it down a couple pegs if we are being honest here. The rest are definitely worthy for sure I'd say, although Scalebound is already on the list. Something like Rise should most definitely take the place of PES soccer...sports games are only ever small iterations of what gamers play year in and year out and what Crackdown is attempting is definitely more unique & interesting than what something like Battleborn seems to be doing

...or maybe they're just not that into them? Also, Scalebound was on the list. Quantum does look real good, and crackdown was certainly impressive, but I think that I'll have to see more before I have a full opinion. And really, Fable? Arm we all still pretending that fable was ever more than a b grade rpg at best?

It's like a slow moving train wreck..

Rainbow Six is actually a great IP for something like this. I'm assuming it's likely similar to XCOM, and that would be a perfect fit for R6.

I’m always excited for a good turn based strategy game.

PapaBop72d ago

Agreed, I'm excited to see how it turns out, hopefully they do Ubi it up.

It's my favorite game genre so I'm sold already.

It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for 'em.

Obnoxious MT shops might not go with a game like this. Are they sure they want to make an actual game?

SpacedDuck72d ago

Another game that will launch, flop and result in people getting fired.

Just shut up and make a new Splinter Cell and stop milking Siege and make a new Rainbow Six 3 style Rainbow Six game.

Do you sound this annoying in real life?

Michiel198972d ago

their turn based mario games were pretty good

Inverno72d ago

That actually fits the series quite well
