Machina of the Planet Tree -Planet Ruler- Review | Hardcore Gamer

Sekai Project have made a name for themselves as a popular publisher of visual novels on Steam, but they’re not content to keep their focus exclusively on that genre. Case in point, they recently launched Machina of the Planet Tree - Planet Ruler- by Japanese indie group Denneko Yuugi. This JRPG both manages to stick within conventions of the genre while carving a niche for itself. Depending on why a player adores JRPGs, they’ll either find this release to be a unique new product or decidedly ho-hum. As you’ll come to see, although the game paints itself a fantastical world, it’s not one that really inspires much interest.

Machina of the Planet Tree -Planet Ruler- - PC Review | Chalgyr's Game Room

Chalgyr's Game Room writes:

This is another indie effort that was assembled with RPG Maker, so it will obviously not be for everyone. However, to the credit of Machina of the Planet Tree -Planet Ruler-, there is an unusually high level of polish to the game that helps it stand out against the numerous other similar entries into the genre and makes it a title most old school RPG fans should enjoy.

Machina of the Planet Tree: Planet Ruler Review | RPG Site

RPG Site writes: "While the expressive characters are exceptional in their design (the portraits are fantastic) and the interaction between them can be enjoyable, the plot itself is ultimately forgettable. Seriously, I have already nearly forgot what the plot was about. Give Planet Ruler a pass unless your curiosity has piqued."

Looks like my sort of game, love JRPG’s! The character animations look great and think the art style looks superb. Good review, will definitely be trying this one out!

ooo...didn't see the usual thing coming out of most of todays jrpgs...boobs, neked grills everywhere, tactless innuendo like a fairy tail manga...good.

only on pc? most show up on vita, ah well, still give it a shot.

gave it a shot, the enemies are just images, the backgrounds are weirdly textured and appear too bright and contrasted compared the character. other than the cheap graphics it's looking like a good story regardless.
