You can still conquer space stations, planets and even solar systems, so don’t worry: your laser cannons will be firing more than ever. The first story: “The Smugglers Guild”, will take you on a search for the secret and exclusive Smugglers Guild. Your father, who is a honest trader, is forced to retire because of his health problems.
SteamFirst: Honestly this is my first encounter with any of the smugglers games so I can’t really tell anything about the background story. This comes in great because you start the game as an unknown pilot without a background story. But let us not get ahead of ourselves. The universe is torn apart by four factions at war with each other. The federation, the coalition, the outer rim systems and the criminal syndicate.

"Smugglers 5 is a futuristic title where 4 warring factions are vying for control of the universe. What your role is in this game is decided completely by you. The game lets you choose between several different classes like a bounty hunter, fighter or merchant trader which will decide what perks will be open to you as you progress through the game and will also decide what path you will be particularly skilled at.
The game is all about choice and, unlike some other games where choice is merely an option, your decision could have incredible and very important effects."
