The games Tetsuya Nomura’s interested in are… not what you expect

"Tetsuya Nomura, the creative mind behind the Final Fantasy 7 Remake and the Disney/Final Fantasy-infused Kingdom Hearts series (including its latest entry, Kingdom Hearts 3) has proved his tastes can stretch from cartoon capers to weird new interpretations (just look at the former FF character designer's take on Catwoman) - but his gaming appetite is far broader than you think. I don't know why but I was expecting something a little more out there, like racing games and cooking sims.

Furesis1166d ago

yeah because that's the kind of games he makes lol personally i was not surprised at all

UltraNova1166d ago

I was surprised actually because he didn't mention a Japanese game but 2 western ones...

What can I say about Western games when a legend like Nomura gives them the nod!

Horizon looks phenomenal. Guerrilla Games are one of my favorite developers of Sony Worldwide Studio. As for Ghost Recon, it looked great as well, but since it's a Ubi game I have to be cautious about it.

Both were game of the show imo, but the moment I was done watching Ghost Recon Wildlands, I was like. "Ubisoft's next downgrade."

Most of Ubisoft games look good on the show floor, both graphics and gameplay, but when you actually play them, it's a totally different story. It's like you were sucked into a parallel universe and playing a completely different game, because you are playing a different game.... just in the same universe.
