Kingdom Come: Deliverance Design Lead Viktor Bocan explains why they created the Xbox One demo first.
I love medieval times, so this is on my radar
This game was on my radar before The Witcher 3. Then I played The Witcher 3, and looking back at Kingdom Come Deliverance, I have to say - the devs have very stiff competition. The standard has been rasied so high, it doesn't look like Kingdom Come can reach that standard. They just don't have the budget or the man power.
So you will stop playing 99% of RPGs not since they won't be able to reach the standard set by the witcher 3? That's absurd. Also, according to the devs they are trying to match The Witcher 3 in terms of storytelling so they are aiming high, and even though they might not make it, at least the gameplay should be superior
Every time someone says Witcher 3 set an rpg standard for them, I always wonder what type of rpg they played.
Just like the headline says. If they create the game on weak hardware (xbone) The strong PS4 hardware will run it no problem. And most likely run it better. I'd still prefere to see PS4 as the lead platform for all games that way they can start to take advantage of PS4's unique GPU Good article.
I would prefer the PC as the lead platform. Then scale it down to weaker hardware. Common sense
If you're concerned about them focusing on stronger hardware then by default they should start on pc then port to consoles
Lol both console's are WEAK to be honest FANBOY!!!
PC should definitely be lead if you want it to run best. Then port it down to ps4 and x1.
The PC is the lead platform overall. It is the only version coming out next year (with no date in site for consoles yet)... After the PC, they're focusing on the weaker console as the stronger one should have no problem handling it. So they are scaling "it down to weaker hardware".
Why is it xbox fanboys always bring up PC when xbone is on the losing end? I didn't mention PC as I'm staying relevant to the article which was specifically talking about xbone and PS4
This game looks very positive
Nice headline, I hope this game turns out good.
Thats good to hear. :) "We first created the demo for Xbox One for PlayStation 4 is a much more powerful machine, and if we turn the game on One then PS4 will do it." Stupid translator though.
Got hyped for this game a couple of months ago. The graphics is one of the best I've seen in an rpg, plus it is the same size as bethesda's games without all the caves stuff. It's focusing on realistic combat so I want to play it to see how well it turns out. It seems that they already have graphics and open world down and gameplay too. Lets see how quests and world activities work. I hope they can do whatever they can to get this game to 60fps or a stable framerate on consoles even if they have to scale back the graphics.
Click-bait title, but true nonetheless I haven't even heard of this game though, have to search for more info before I put it on my radar
Water is wet
It's not always really Devs fault, but making statements like this will always get fanboys up in arms. I appreciate it's not the Job of these people to limit flaming/Trolling idiotic Gamer's. The game's premise is tantalizing though /
'The Playstation 4 is a much more powerful machine.' The guy was pretty straightforward and direct about the console power difference I see.
Never mind all of the other devs that have said the difference is negligible. Lets all cling to the one that says "much more powerful".
The PS4 has a more powerful GPU and Faster RAM, The difference is the PS4 is more powerful... but not "Much More" powerful lol. If it were "Much More" powerful then every multiplat AAA would run 1080p and 60fps WITH noticeably better graphic effects than X1. To a PC gamer, the difference between the X1 and PS4 hardware wise is slightly different, running most games with the same graphics settings but at a higher resolution is not "Much More" powerful, but to a Console only gamer, the PS4 is MUCH MORE powerful than the X1, the same with the X1 being WAY MORE powerful than the WiiU...
X1 wheres the 20x processing power of The Cloud ?
Please you know that the cloud doesn't turn a 1.3 teraflop system into a 26 teraflop system. What they meant was in relation to the amount of delayed (dont know what else to call it) physics calculations that it can do. Cloud jokes are getting really old now.
