How utilizing the huge amiibo market can help unlock the potential of Nintendo’s new Super Mario Maker.
I don't own a wii u but this game could certainly change that!
You should get one....the system is fun. The internet likes to disagree, but there are so many fun games on the platform. This game will deff add hours of fun especially at a party!
My only real obstacle is convincing my wife lol, I convinced myself ages ago!
You mean the scalper Amiibo market, right? There isn't much for other markets with their production and output. I'm so hyped for Super Mario Maker, but Amiibo shortages have kept me from the enhancements in Splatoon, so I'm pretty salty about them.
They've been actively working on the problem and stores are getting restocks faster but unfortunately scalpers will always have the upper hand. But I agree they need to up production and not discontinue certain ones the day after they are released.
Got my amiibo mario maker edition pre-ordered. Looking forward to it.
Nah no it's not...
I don't get it. If this was their secret weapon for Amiibo, they'd charge $30-40 to get this into people's hands so they'd buy the Amiibo. At $60, they are clearly not aiming for Amiibo, just working it in as much as they can as with every other game they make now.
This really does sound like a great game, but why didn't they include a couple classic original SMB games with this release, like SMB 1, 2, and 3 from the NES? Would like to try it, but its not worth buying a Wii U just for a few games, and Nintendo's harsh DRM for digital games (tying digital purchases to hardware, rather than accounts) makes it not worth buying any digital games at all from the eShop. And due to the lack of retail games, the digital ones are much more important to make the console worthwhile.
I understand this game will have a hundred or so levels at launch to play. "Not worth it for one game" has been phrased for many multiple Wii U titles since 2012. I will add that drm is a prominent facet of our subscription models as well scilller ;)
Don't see the hype. Looks like a great idea if it was 3D Mario World style graphics/design. Plus, at a $60 mark. Not worth it.
Not your cup of tea, fair enough :) Any prediction as per attach-rate?
Mario games have always saved nintendo. Even if every other wii u game fails this year on wii u mario maker is guaranteed huge sales .
"Even if every other wii u game fails this year " so far they have all sold gangbusters
