It's official: ZombiU is coming to PS4, Xbox One & PC in August

Ubisoft has officially announced Zombi, a PS4, Xbox One and PC port of 2012 Wii U horror ZombiU due to arrive digitally on August 18.

There were rumors of this a long time ago so not necessarily a rushed port. If you haven't played it, its pretty good. My wonder is that it was designed with the wiiu pad in mind... How can they eliminate it... Will it still have that same feeling without it?

Honestly the Wii U has great looking games but this isn't one of them. Mario Kart, Wind Waker HD, and Super Mario 3D World really show how Nintendo has mastered a cartoonish art direction to the point where everything looks flawless and pixels/jaggies are basically impossible to find.

its not a bad game but I don't see it being as fun on the Xbox one or ps4 as for me it was he game pad that made this game stand out on the wiiu. On the flip side if this means they are testing the water for a zombie 2 then ide like to see that but if its an Xbox one and ps4 game only I want to see they do something different to the other hack and slash games like they did on the wiiu.

Interesting thing about this teaser trailer is that it features a nailbat and an axe... the wiiU versions got railed for only having one melee weapon that you had to use the whole game (cricket bat.)

This is worth a play for those who never tried it. It's one of the best/most tense horror experiences I've ever had. It's an FPS darksouls of the zombie genre. Try it.

Splinter Cell Conviction = runs like crap

Assassin's Creed 4 = crap CPU optimization

Assassin's Creed 3 = crap CPU optimization

Far Cry 3 = crap CPU optimization, took 5 patches to fix all crashes and performance issues + mouse acceleration

Far Cry 4 = crap CPU optimization, took 6 patches to improve CPU performance but not fix stutter and mouse acceleration, post patch 6 CPU optimization even worse than before, but fixed stutter somewhat and mouse problems, currently at version 1.9 (or was it 1.10?)

AC Unity = very demanding on the CPU and GPU, looks pretty but ran absolutely horrible until v1.4 and a lot of driver fixes on both sides. Doesn't look as good as FC4, though. Still stutters sometimes.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier - the more patches it got, the worse it ran. Pretty demanding at v1.0, even worse later on.

Frankly, the only games I've not had an issue with are the 2D Raymans and SC: Blacklist. Their games are amazing and fun, it's a shame they just don't seem to put enough effort into their PC ports.

If Ghost Recon Wildlands has any issues on PC, my heart would break.

How is FC4 is better looking than Unity? FC4 is basicly old gen FC3 with a few new lightning effects while Unity is a full fledged current gen title with it's animations and physics.

AC Unity had some pretty bad textures, horrible draw distance due to API limitations, popup etc. Far Cry 4 has prettier textures, ambiance, effects. Both use physical based rendering, which is amazing which means those two are the best looking games to date honestly. Far Cry 4 is just a little bit more rounded in my opinion. Graphics are subjective, for I find L4D2 more aesthetically and stylistically pleasing than Crysis 3, so you may not agree.

Yeah...Its GONE.....It doesn't need it, the feature made the already mediocre game worse and neither system has a gamepad...They aren't going to add some crap smartphone for the pad app crap because they have to assume that not everyone is going to have a smartphone....So expect normal menus....Not that the pad was of ANY use because you could use the thumbstick to scan anyway

If people buy it this way then sure, more power to them. But I think people were more lenient with the game upon release because they appreciated what it was trying to do, rather than it being a good zombie survival game. Could be wrong though

Tbh, I played the campaign for about 20 mins, got bored and never touched it again. The multiplayer king of zombies mode is Hella fun though, and is pretty unique as I can't think of any other games with a similar mode, especially on one console.

Graphically speaking, this pales in comparison to other games out on the market (such as Dying Light.) Not to throw rocks at a game but, with so many darn zombie games out, I just have to get picky.

People should not dismiss this one before trying it, its one of the best survival games out there. I can't help but think that this game is the direction that Resident Evil should have gone instead of how it went with 5, I liked 5 but it didn't feel like a RE game at all in terms of atmosphere. A good description would be RE4 set in London with updated controls and some great, creepy locations.

Unfortunately the problem with it though was that it had low production values and was repetitive as hell.

If UBIsoft would have delayed the game for a year and touched it up and added more gameplay variety ... it could have been something truly special and really have sold the gamepad as a truly useful peripheral to enhance gaming.

Now it seems to look better (though not amazing) and I noticed a couple new weapons ... but no gamepad might make its gameplay super generic.

Could be wrong but UBIsoft blew its chance to have a big and original franchise by rushing it in the first place I think.

Studios cant do exclusive games for consoles that arent number one on the market without getting millions first, because if they dont sell big they are in trouble.

Sales matter because its much easier to get profit from the game if the user base is large.
