Is Alan Wake underrated? I thought it was great. Those little TV Night Springs episodes were also great. Really added to the atmosphere. Too bad they scrapped the sequel, but hopefully Quantum Break will be good.

It sold about 3.5 million after as of recently (five years after launch.) The game had the unfortunate situation of being released on the same day as Red Dead Redemption. Plus, there was literally no advertising on TV for the game. You kind of had to know that it was coming out.

While people did buy it at launch, most people played it when the game was bundled with an Xbox 360 at one point and through word of mouth. It could've been so much bigger and that's one of the reasons I don't think we got a sequel. It would've been risky for Microsoft.
