COG writes - Victor Vran charges out of Early Access as a well polished and deep experience. While it may not take down the king of isometric ARPGs it stands well on its own and developer Haemimont Games should be proud.
Always happy to see more ARPGs doing well. The card system for skills seems pretty cool, and overall it looks a bit like the Adventures of Van Helsing. And did I see JUMPING in the trailer? If that's not part of a particular skill, that's enough to make it stand out from the rest of the competition.
There is jumping in the game, sometimes needed to find secrets but also to act as a blast when used with a button/key press to push the enemy back a bit. Edit: Also can be used to jump certain boundaries i.e. a hedge maze you can just jump over instead of routing all the way round :D
I've been looking at this game every time I go on the steam store. I was so close to buying it. But I'm waiting at least a couple more months when there's more reviews out for it. I think a lot of people are giving it praise because it's something new and fresh. I saw the same thing happen with Destiny on PS4, then six months later people were down right bashing it. So we'll see how it is in a few months.
Doesn't that happen with nearly every game :D.
Definitely will check this out. I've been having this urge to play a solid ARPG during this summer heat.
