TheArabGamer writes: "I have to be honest: I’m not a big fan of MMO’s. That is until I played Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. You see when it comes to singleplayer RPG’s there’s always this sense or feeling that you are IN the story. Yes, believe it or not, the cutscenes, the style and presentation all play an important role in telling a good story. For me at least. Which is why I’ve usually been swayed away by previous MMO’s for being text heavy with their “go there and do this” quests. Don’t get me wrong, FF 14 is filled with those quests and the same carries over to its latest expansion pack, Heavensward. However, there’s no denying that Final Fantasy 14 and its new expansion pack makes the series stand on its own as a really good RPG whether if you’re playing alone or with someone else."
After 2 long years, we finally have a release window for Final Fantasy XVI. But the names behind the title, are probably largely unknown outside of the Final Fantasy XIV bubble. So allow us to introduce you to the team of Final Fantasy XVI and why you should be excited!
That's like saying Cyberpunk was automatically in good hands because the Witcher 3 was amazing and GOTY
Each new project is a a blank slate, always expect the unexpected, not everything is going to be good because the last thing the team did was.
Things are looking good. But really, we should all wait til we play it ourselves to tell if it's a good game. Ffs (not including the mmos) been needing a big W in a very long time. The remake of ff7 although good, wasn't anything amazing.
Yoshi-p did amazing with 14 but it doesn't mean they can do amazing with a sp mainline ff game.
Final Fantasy XIV Online: Heavensward & Final Fantasy XIV Online: Stormblood begins the mid-game ramp of enjoyment and challenge that make a great game.
Square Enix Manga & Books is reprinting four full-color Final Fantasy XIV Online art books. The art books celebrate the world and characters of the expansions, Heavensward and Stormblood.
Game is tedious.
It is an amazinging mmo, but yes, it requires time...alot of it. Once it opens up, it is stunning. I played for like 6 months, bit just don't have the time anymore. Was gonna jump in for this expansion but replaying everything to get to it may be too much.
Looks really good, wish I had time to play like I use too. I loved FFXI and have some many good memories but with work now a wife and seven month old I have zero time to play. Enjoy your free time while you can guys/girls :)
If Square Enix can apply this level of quality to all their other single player Final Fantasy titles, then the series is due for another renaissance.
its pretty much taken over my life
