GameZone: "The super short story doesn't suffice for Batgirl. It felt rushed, insufficient and downright lazy. The only saving grace it has is its price point. $7 is a price that matches it length and for the brief time spent as Batgirl, it was time well spent."
Doctor Cow-Slice at Nerd Rock from the Sun writes: "There is no two ways about it, the Batgirl DLC for Arkham Knight is nothing short of a disappointment. When it was first announced I thought it sounded ambitious but really interesting. After that though I discovered that the team behind Arkham Origins was developing the DLC and my heart sank."
When you put this DLC up against a game as incredible as Arkham Knight - it just doesn't matter, and it should matter! Batgirl is such a fun character, and it's exciting to see old-school Harley Quinn too, yet this DLC is pointless because nothing of importance happens. Batgirl deserves better.

For however long it lasts, A Matter of Family's an empty doggy bag of nostalgia that’s far from filling. It’s a crying shame for as much as it attempts for an expansion its size, most of all its heroine. Alone, it’s nowhere close to being worth the $40 season pass and until it becomes standalone DLC for a fraction of that, everyone but owners of Batman: Arkham Knight’s Deluxe Edition should consider passing on the all-too short-lived adventures of Batgirl.
