While not the most thrilling of eShop releases, it attempts to fill a small gap of opportunity for users looking to draw on their Wii U system. Unfortunately this isn't really a gap that needs to be filled, and as such My Style Studio: Notebook has stiff competition to face.

My Style Studio: Notebook is not a game in the traditional sense. There are no bosses, no levels or really any kind of structure to it at all. It is more of an application, but it is the type of program that feels like a perfect fit for the Wii U.

This is all about free form creativity - the ability to make something and if you are adventurous enough to do so, share it out into the wide world of Miiverse. The tools at your disposal are actually fairly impressive, with a variety of stamps, erasers, crayons, pens and more at your disposal, the Wii U's tablet controller feels like a good fit for an application of this sort.

I really like the idea of the Nintendo Wii U as an art platform. The gamepad has just the right screen size and precision to allow people to create reasonably complex art work. Unlike, say, the iPad, the stylus of the console is also perfect for the kind of fine details that you'd like to achieve when doodling away.
