Leon Hurley writes: "You can always count on the 'how many graphics?' crowd to have something to say about a game's look. Personally, I was quite pleased with Fallout 4's crisp and colourful new visuals, although that hasn't stopped some from having a pop at the finer details.
Not that it matters to Bethesda though, because that simply isn't what Fallout 4 is about anyway. "We push it visually as much as we can, while realising that we are not making a game just for the sake of having it be the best looking game out there," Bethesda's Pete Hines told me. As an example, he refers to Skyrim, "it’s not meant to be the most stunning RPG ever. That's not the stated goal," he explains. "We want this massive interactive world, where you can talk to people, choose your own path and everything in the world has meaning and is an actual object"."
If you bought Fallout 4 via the Epic Games Store, you may be unable to install the upcoming Fallout: London mod at launch.
Fallout: London will require you to own the game. Game Pass users, unlucky.
Fallout 4 modders have teamed up with legendary voice actor Wes Johnson to create a new mod for the game in the name of Alzheimer's research.
That's cool. I'd rather have a nice big alright looking Fallout 4 than a small terrible pretty Fallout 4.
Setting expectations now to try and avoid the fallout . . .
Fallout 4 is not about graphic. Jezz, people need to get a grip. Also, I hope Fallout 4 launch won't be buggy like Skyrim. Because Bethesda screw up with PS3 version.
I'm playing Fallout New Vegas for the fourth time on an outdated 360 and the graphics are not even an issue at all! I'm having a blast I must say.
Graphics?!!!!! Has become a fanboys religion.
if the game is on their platform and has GREAT graphics but crappy gameplay the fanboys will ONLY talk about graphics no matter how lame, simple, repetitive, or boring the gameplay.
If the game is on their platform and the game has OK or medium graphics then the fanboys will ONLY talk about gameplay, trophies, exclusive talk, etc, and bark at you with the "we play games for gameplay not graphics".
if the game has crappy graphics crappy gameplay then YOU will be a TROLL for even bringing it up as the Fanboys will just deny deny deny.
so yes Fallout a HUGE and Brilliant adventure game with OK graphics Hmmm sorta just like Skyrim and GTAV will be loved by everyone no matter what platform.
oh and for Gamers sake don't even bring up the fact that the PC version will get a MegaTon of Graphics and Gameplay mods giving it the best of both worlds because quite simply NO ONE CARES about the PC.
Hopefully by now most gamers realize that for games this big Devs may tone down something so that everything fits and you get great framerates.
(unless its the PC but then again NO ONE CARES about the PC)
all in fun!
