Can a rendered Luke Skywalker look like the real thing? With the right team and equipment, it might even look more real than the actual Luke. Here are some screenshots to prove it. The rendered Luke is taken from Star Wars: Battlefront.

Aspyr Media Inc allegedly used a fan-made PC mod to add previously Xbox exclusive content to Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection.
Aspyr if we sell hotcakes get that code from radical or something and create battlefield 3 please
I thought that was kind of obvious they were incorporating mods to piece this game together. Maybe not, but that's made me worried about one thing:
They also planned on adding the modded ending to KOTOR 2 but were legally blocked from doing so, even after they advertised that to help sell preorders for the game on Switch. Could the same happen with this? Any opponents have 3 weeks to bring down the hammer.

His eyes are a bit too Hayden Christianson for my liking.
There would be most likely quite a few people involved in this model. One or more to model the geometry, one or more to texture and map, including normal mapping etc. probably someone else to work on the shaders, then rigging and animation of course. And there is probably someone (or more) working solely on hair and perhaps other sim effects. Not to mention researchers and photographers. And the technical guys involved with the engine stuff. They will all have had to work together to pull it together into a successful character model. Then the guys involved with stage setting, posing, lighting and rendering it and pushing it out for public consumption as a marketing image.
CG is hard :)
It should be mentioned that it's all totally doable by one single person on a non-commercial project, absolutely. It would just take longer to achieve. Source: CG artist.
We are getting into a level in which from a decent distance, it's pretty hard to recognize if a face, a body or even a building is CGI or real... It's creepy/amazing
