Really curious to see what these guys have next. Lords of the Fallen was a pretty good game. It showed that these guys have some real talent.

Not really, you don't actually know when this game was even being worked on, for all we know it started development during Lords Of The Fallen and might be set to release fall next year or spring 2017.

Teams start games many times right after the first is done, many times during the development of the first are actually starting up concept on a second title.

The same people doing the pre-production, don't do the final stages of a game.
