Pc's are capable of so much more power than a ps4 but the ps4 has the best looking game graphically with the order 1886 and driveclub. Ps4 isnt capable of 4k resolution but it has graphically some of the best looking games and a lot more are on the way. Nothing on the pc looks as good as uncharted 4 or horizon atm imo but the the pc can run shoddy ports like batman in 4k resolution. Let the spinning begin, ive got my glass slippers .

I cant wait for the uncharted nathan drake collection and then uncharted 4. I know killzone shadow fall surpassed crysis 3 but uncharted 4 destroys everything graphically with inferior specs. Ps4 k best-solution over 4k resolution

Ps4 has the specs but talented de vs aren't devoted to it to take full advantage. That's why you have these stellar games coming out on consoles while the pc master race just make noise because of they're powerful specs.

Look up Star Citizen. One reason its on on consoles is because they don't want downgrade it. Crysis 3 on PC still looks better then most console games and thats a last gen game.

It doesn't look great at all. A lot of the visual effects are missing as was said in a previous preview of the game (which will make it into the final build). Confused as to why they would show the game in such a state. Isn't the point of remasters solely the visual upgrade?

My friend we all know PCs are more powerful but power alone is not the be all and end all.

Take for example a Bugatti Super sport at 1200hp and earth shuttering torque and pit it against a 700hp F1 car...yeah you can see this where its going...

The car with half the power will absolutely demolish the other in any scenario due to one utmost important factor >> OPTIMIZATION.

Look I have nothing to lose if I admit if there's anything better looking(not better performing, there's a difference) than U4 or DC on PC, but there isn't, at the moment.

The only way any PS4 games can even get somewhat close in graphics quality is when they are super linear interactive-QTE type games with pre-baked effects and heavily scripted events that look/play exactly the same every play-through.

I'm not sure how interested I am in replaying the first 3 uncharted games, but that uncharted 4 beta might be enough of an enticement to go through them all over again. that is, unless the beta is just for MP like it typically is... first of all, killzone's resolution isn't 960 x 1080. SP is 1080p. secondly, MP is 960 x 1080 *PER FRAME*, so it's actually a full 1920 x 1080, just closer to 1080i in terms of resolution rather than 1080p. they're also not upscaling the resolution to 1920 x 1080 from 960 x 1080... so you're wrong.

Game looks f'n awesome, especially the 3rd screen, although objectively it doesn't 'destroy everything graphically'... I mean it doesn't even have anti-aliasing, there's other problems, but that's the most obvious.

The controls didn't really change at all between the three games and they definitely haven't "aged". They all have contemporary TPS controls.

The combat improved Drastically from 1 to 2. 2 got it right and 3 didn't need to improve much.

1: In Uncharted 1 you could shoot throuh the corners of walls

2: Hit detection was terrible

Ultimately remaster money gets invested in new games (at least most of it), and making a remaster normally involves only a small team. They're more healthy for the industry than many think.

Naughty Dog isn't doing this game, it was outsourced to a team to make and this isn't even "making" its PORTING OVER! That isn't even near the same as real game development, those teams specialize in porting titles. They didn't just remake the whole series.....

Sony owns the IP, the team only ports, Sony is paying them to PORT not make a new game of any sort as the team has a history of porting, not making brand new ground up games....

Some of those ports have like 10 folks involved....it really doesn't take that much to actually port a title, 6 months, 10 staff and about 1 million is what it generally takes to port a game....

You where not getting Uncharted 5 with 10 team members, with $1 million in funding in 6 months....

Learn what development is, learn what porting is, learn who makes what and you'll realize how silly that statement is.

Remasters can actually help the development of new IPs. Creating a new IP is very time consuming and expensive, having the additional cash flow from remasters can really help out for studios that may be underfunded.

Though this doesn't necessarily apply to ND as I expect they get all the funding they need.

And these porting studios that are technically competent but may be creatively challenged are much better off doing ports of good games rather than trying to do a mediocre new IP.

You do realize that remasters, most of the time, are outsourced to different developers. That means they get work....which is a good thing, the remasters bring in money for them and ND...which is good, and ND gets to work on Uncharted 4 (new game like you want) and whatever their second team is working on (presumably Last of Us 2, also new game) like you want...which is good. While I agree there are too many unneeded remasters and backward compatibility should be a automatic feature, I can't argue that remasters do help the industry and give us great games to play while we wait for the new ones (because remasters are a quick turn over while the new games you want need 3+ years to be made)

Looks pretty much the same deal as TLOU ps4 version to PS3 judging from those pictures. Just resolution bump but the games were already beautiful already on PS3 so no complaint there. I am still mad MP is not included in this set. I would have line up day one to get it. $60 just not worth it to me when MP of Uncharted 2 was one of my most played online game on PS3 and ND and Sony decided to drop it. :( . I'll get it still during the holiday sales because it is one of my favorite series of all time.

Newcomers and people not bother with the omission of mp should not be hesitant in getting it as it has 3 of the best games ever made on PS3. I am just speaking for myself.

I don't understand how people grip over removing MP from the collection, and using that as a reason to not get the game. But these same people praise a remaster of a game from a trilogy that is not including two games of the trilogy, and claiming day one purchase. And to make it clear I am talking about Gears of War UE, because the same people praising that game find a way to bash this one. So removing a game mode from a trilogy is a dealbreaker, but removing two games from a trilogy is acceptable... Great logic. Is it not enough that people that buy the uncharted trilogy can experience the whole trilogy? Remasters are primarily for people who have not played the game. You would think missing 2/3 of a story would be kind of a big deal.

Personally I think both Gears UE and uncharted trilogy are good deals ($40 for a remaster and $60 for a trilogy), my gripe is when people try and bash one for "something missing" and overlook that fact for the other.

Those are also the same people who will tell you that the Halo MCC was a great game worthy of high praise even without the mp when it was broken. Somehow it's fine to want to replay those Halo campaigns when it's the only thing that works, but when a package like the UC collection comes out w/o the mp portion, it's somehow wrong for people to be excited to play through the campaigns of a game that was specifically built for sp vs. a title that made its bread & butter off of mp. Whatever, people can talk any trash they want, I'm excited to have any kind of reason to play through my favorite trilogy of all time, and nothing anyone says can take anything from me in regards to my enjoyment I will have with this collection when it drops.

One is adding stuff, the other is removing stuff

Let see Gears:
- complete facelift for the graphics (like Metro reddux)
- add the missing pc chapter to the game
- made some new cut scene for this game
- Mp will be cross compatible with pc user

Uncharted
- went In the CFG file
- Change the cfg to max fps = 30 to 60
- change resolution to 1080 X 1920P
- remove MP.

In the end When you compare gears of Wars Ultimate edition to Gears of wars on the 360 there's more
When you compare Uncharted the Drake collection to Uncharted Trilogy on ps3 (or Uncharted super pack)
there's less.

As for my opinions on remasters:
I still believe I have purchase a Next gen console to play Next gen experience and not to relive the past generation with a cleaner finish.
So in my case both games aren't worth 60$

The problem with your statement is that they were never making a Gears trilogy. There was a lot of guessing and speculation but Rod said they just didn't have the resources to make one so they went with remaking the 1st Gears

Let's think about the purpose of remastering a game. It's for people that didn't have a chance to play them last gen, say a PS3 only owner that migrated to Xbox One this gen. So now they can play the game this gen, with current gen fidelity. In the case of Gears UE, what would be the incentive of someone who never played the series to buy the game day one, if they are only going to get 1/3 of the story (since there has been no announcement of other Gears remastered). Granted, I understand they didn't announce it as a trilogy, but that's my point, IT IS a trilogy and they are leaving out 2/3 of it. Why release only the first game of the trilogy as a remaster for people that are new to the franchise? Unless they intend to release them separately at $40 a piece, which would make the trilogy cost $120.

Which is it? Will MS leave newcomers in the dark regarding the whole Gears story, or do they intend to, essentially, charge $120 for the complete story (or $100 if they release the next one as a $60 bundle).

Back to my original point, how can anyone say the above scenario is acceptable, and at the same time label the uncharted trilogy for $60 unacceptable?

Granted, I'd have loved to have Golden Abyss on here as I've never had the chance to play it, but how is the lack of a Vita installment from a completely different dev & the lack of mp for 3 sp focused titles considered a deal breaker? To each their own, maybe multiplayer was a big draw for you when it comes to Uncharted games, but the sp is where it's at for me. Any reason to replay the best trilogy of last gen is enough for me personally. I recall UC looking pretty darn good in HD already. I don't recall playing it and thinking that the graphics could be better, as a matter of fact I was content as heck and really appreciated the adventure. Sure you could add a little more to "freshen it" for those that have not experienced it, but the experience has already been had and I really enjoyed it. Next.

I have a quite a few remasters/rerelease/definitive editions and very, very few do I actually go back and fully explore. It's like yup, I see what you guys did there, I also see what it is not.

Looks unreal in terms of detail. This will be a great remastered trilogy of one of the best series in gaming imo. Picked up GOW3 yesterday and am loving how great it looks and plays on PS4. Is this a true re-master or are they just porting the game to PS4. The screen shots look good but some textures look suspect and the scene shots feel darker than they should.

Sony has named it a "collection" and did not put re-master in the game. Also, not comparing the screen shots to the original make me aspect not much has changed.
