Deep Silver ditches the reason so many were interested in Dead Island 2

MWEB GameZone writes: "Deep Silver's ditching of development partner Yager (Spec Ops: The Line dev), could be a deal breaker for many fans."

i forgot that this game was meant to exist, no great loss.

Ah that sucks. I really liked what they were doing with it. The build i played a year or so ago was really good.

In my opinion, Yager really was the interesting thing to be had with the development of the game.

While I can at least say Yager made an interesting, and quality title by way of Spec Ops, the best thing that Deep Silver, themselves, can lay claim to is the Risen series . . .

Outside of that, they are simply a publisher who got lucky enough to profit off of a failed company (THQ) and their titles (Metro: Last Light, Saints Row IV).

Its a shame, hopefully Deep Silvers vision doesnt F it up. All this because Yager were leaving out the long winded conversations and only focusing on the Zombie slaughter. IF i want to read a long winded story id read a book. So hopefully the changes after Yagers departure arent too big. And please leave the long windedness out! Some of just just want to kill zombies without mercy.

E3 trailer last year was quite cool, but yeah the hype for this vanished quick. Totally forgot about it until just now, just so many zombie things around atm.

I'm happy I got this game, the story is on the weak side but the gameplay, the semi-open world and the DLC's are great. Got way more hours out of this than I ever thought I would and playing with friends is stupid fun.
