Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC Won’t Release On PS3, Xbox 360 Again

BioWare and EA revealed today that they will no longer support the PS3 or the Xbox 360 in terms of DLC releases. They also announced the arrival of a new feature called “Save Importer”. This feature allows you to “migrate your old saves, and continue your adventure without starting over from scratch.” on your PS4 or Xbox One.

This news might be disappointing for some people as even by now most people have a PS4 or Xbox One but still some people are playing on the PS3 or Xbox 360 and they deserve as much content as us.

phoenixwing3214d ago

Some people? You do realize most of the people haven't bought a ps4 or xbox1 yet.

Then why even bother releasing the game on Xbox 360 and PS3 ?

Rookie_Monster3214d ago (Edited 3214d ago )

I briefly played Dragon Age Inquisition on my friend's PS3 last year and it is a total mess. It looks like it was outsourced and they didn't even try. I truly belief when a game is release on any platform, don't be lazy about it and give everything you had into making the best possible game you can. It still cost $60 just like the PS4/XB1 version and it is not fair to those PS3/X360 players that supported and bought your games throughout the entire last generation to get shafted like that.

I got the 360 version and Bioware really left it to die

Sad news for previous gen owners but a necessary step for developers to begin focusing on developing only for current gen. It really is time.

FoxyGotGame3214d ago (Edited 3214d ago )

This news sucks for last gen Dragon Age Inquisition fans. I figured DA:I DLC was in doubt after EA went suspiciously quite on it. I feel like it's kind of 'Shady' for those who purchased and completed those versions with the anticipation of DLC. EA should at least end the D.A. franchise on last gen with DLC.

Seems like the fans are being punished for sticking with those systems.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Retro Review – A Nostalgic Leap Short Of Legendary

Dragon Age: Inquisition, developed by BioWare, is the third installment in the cherished Dragon Age series. It represents a major evolution from its predecessor, Dragon Age II, incorporating elements that were well-loved in the original Dragon Age: Origins but also introducing new features that stand on their own. While Inquisition improves upon Dragon Age II in many respects, it falls short of the exceptional standards set by Origins.

The quality of these free games has been awesome. Before anyone says they are not free I was already giving Amazon $6 a month for prime shipping and video this isn't why I pay for my subscription

Teflon02908d ago

Still technically paying for it, even if it wasn't your intent. They've been giving out games with Twitch prime, they just changed the name. It's the same sub as that was. If you weren't aware, great. But you're paying for it.

That being said, I don't personally care. For me as long as you're willing to pay that for 1 service and get more. I personally take it as free. Like prime video, music though the prime version is trash, and all the Twitch benefits are all free to me because I didn't care about those when I got it. Just comes with it.

Only noted because that's technically wrong as a defense to that argument, whether I'm on yourside with the initial statement lol

mkis007907d ago

It's free to anyone who has already been paying. IDK why people need to split hairs.

TinkerNation908d ago

How does Prime Gaming work? Do you keep the games, or is it only as long as you have Prime?

Germaximus908d ago

lol Nice distraction from how they're now charging people to increase viewership. It's "just an option." /wink lol
