"Erlend Grefsrud, creative director of Bifrost Entertainment, has announced that Myriad will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PS Vita."
Twin-stick shooters have come a long way since Geometry Wars revitalized the genre. While the base mechanics are simple there's plenty of room for individual riffs on the mechanics, from the newest Geometry Wars 3, to forthcoming Zenzizenzic, the soothingly hectic We Are Doomed, and even the amazing The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Each game takes the genre in its own direction, with some more being extreme variations than others, and soon Myriad will join the party with its own unique take on twin-stick action.
Dealspwn reports: "Yesterday we previewed Myriad, a truly eyepopping indie game that elevates twinstick shooting into an artform in and of itself. Inspired by the works of Kandinsky, it allows us to reshape levels on the fly, creating dynamic unique masterpieces every time we play.
It's a fascinating concept and a ton of fun even at this early stage, and though the preview build was naturally running on PC, developer Erlend Grefsrud has designs on a Sony's new-gen machine due to its unique streaming opportunities."
