GameSpy has posted some new Big Kahuna Party screenshots.
An extract from the Big Kahuna Party review by WiiWare World:
"Big Kahuna Party is a 'match-three' style game in the style of Bejeweled. This style of play has been around for a while now and there is not much left to add to the genre. But that doesn't mean there isn't room in your collection for a fun variation on that same theme. So is Big Kahuna Party worth a try?
To its credit, Big Kahuna Party attempts to inject new life into this tired old formula. Instead of boring square shaped puzzles, you will play on a variety of oddly shaped screens. Some of which will leave you scratching your head as to how it could be possible to ever match something in so small a space. This adds a new kind of challenge not present in others of this type of game.
However, the game is easier than it sounds because your goal is not to get every match possible. Rather, your goal is simply to break every 'box' on the screen. A 'box' is simply a regular square but animated as being inside a box. Matching the item inside that square breaks the box. Clearing all boxes finishes the level and moves you on to the next. It's as simple as that."
If it's between this and spending a few more bucks for Dr. Mario, Tetris, World of Goo, or even springing for the retail Puzzle Quest for Wii, any of the options above are well worth the additional investment. Big Kahuna Party is a game that's out there for consumers that don't know better. Hopefully now that you're finished reading this little ditty of a review, you do know better.
