Some months later, then, the developers have finally removed the black bars from the top and bottom of the screen via a new update.
Wow a little late. I wish they would of at least had this update for when the DLC dropped.
nice, I think I will finally consider buying it.
Time to jump back in, but the letterbox meant you could not see what was going on a points
Anybody else knows what the massive 4gb update added?
Cool this is on sale for £19.99 on ps4
So much for everyone saying that the letterboxing was the only way they could get the game running on consoles. Good on you, devs!
I think you were thinking about The Order: 1886, I don't ever recall a debate about the black bars being used to get the game running smooth for The Evil Within.
Nice i wanted to start my akumu run soon.
Super late console update but hey, still a nice welcome gesture.
Had no problem with it even though I think they didn't do it because of style or atmosphere but because the game would have performed even worse (technically the game was quite bad, however patches made it ok). Still it's nice to see that they listened to the feedback and many people actually did get turned off by it. I appreciate that.
Does it run smoother also?Sub 30fps still?
Didn't even notice them until people on the Internet started to complain about it. Didn't see the problem with it. Didn't ruin my gaming once
Now you can enjoy the horrible frame rate in this game in full screen.
