Here's When You'll Get A Skell In Xenoblade Chronicles X

Xenoblade Chronicles X has a feature that allows players to obtain and fly various mechs known as “Skells”. Just don’t count on gaining access to a Skell right away. Speaking with IGN, senior director and chief creative officer Tetsuya Takahashi said that it takes about 30 hours before mechs become accessible.

Was it Kotaku who said it took them 70 hours? Idk which I like better tbh. Getting the mech sooner or having a longer game...

Ah that not a big deal.

I be playing for a long time I wont even realize I have it in two days.

XD Planning on no sleep for two days straight to get it asap?

Me, I get the feeling it might take me even longer.
I'll be so busy hunting for new locations to set probs down in, fighting new monsters, and building up the reputations of the various factions for new gear to become available, that I'll likely be doing story missions only once I'm forced to use a Skell to reach what's left of the probe markers and hidden locations.
At least in the first continent, anyways.
By the time I'm done tracking down new areas and finishing quests, I'll likely be rich enough to comfortably buy and outfit SEVERAL Skells, and all before I've even started on the mission needed to earn them.XD

Ah, speaking of which, what are you going to name your Skell?

I've already decided on mine: Trail Blazer.
It fits with the overall theme of the game: you're one of the brightest hopes of the now-endangered remains of Humanity, and your first priority is to explore and better understand this new homeworld.
You're tasked with laying down a new "trail" for Humanity's future through endless exploration and fearless combat.

I felt it's only appropriate that my first mech's name embody the vision of this game's theme.

of course I will sleep but the moment I wake up. I may jump right to it.

December 4th gives me enough time to finally beat xenoblade on the Wii, put over 150+ hours into it trying to complete all the side quests!

Hmmm interesting. Hopefully true, liking the slowly but surely partnership between the big 3. Just imagine all the xenoblade games officially on pc. I think mcsft going 3rd party but still making consoles fits them.

Xenoblade chronicles X is not there

Either removed or the picture shown was edited, but it is currently not there

NettosGameRoom24d ago

You can still view it using the internet archive!

This is good. Real good if Nintendo is smart to capitalize.

I would bet a lot of money it’s not happening

Reason number 1 why I haven’t played yet:
Cannot commit the time. :/

The nice thing about X is you have a Follow Ball. If you haven't played for a few days it will help you jump right back in! Fantastic game! You should at least have 5 initial hours over 2 days or so to invest. I also suggest grinding to at least level 14 before chapter 3.

It's nice that definitive edition makes level grinding easier. Quite a bit quicker than the original release.

I bought it thinking it was like the trilogy and expansion on Switch. I played it for 15 or so hours and stopped. Couldn't get into it, the gameplay was not like the previous ones, it was not what I expected.😕

Dhika68d ago

I bought it on the Wii U years ago and couldn’t get into it too 🙁

I feel ya, sucks cause I wanted to like it, I tried.

Greatest RPG ever except end game makes it impossible to complete for anyone who focused on mech battles. Do not focus on mechs or you will be disappointed

1 - 3 are connected. Idk if X is connected since I haven't beaten the epilogue in X yet. X will probably be connected.
