PlayStation and Xbox have had their E3 conferences already, and they created whirlwinds of excitement. Who do you think won?
Both Microsoft and Sony had good conferences.Personality Microsoft has more to offer me but there is still sum very interesting looking games on PS4.Uncharted cannot come quick enough.
Here is the way I look at things because i have both systems 2015: I play my xbox for Halo 5, RotTR, and other games while I play Fallout 4, Black ops 3, No Mans Sky and Uncharted on PS4/PC 2016: I play Uncharted 4, TLG, Ratchet and Clack, Horizon, etc.... on PS4 Why be a fanboy when you can enjoy gaming? brb, gotta give CPR to my wallet
Same tbh--OH GOD HES FLATLINING
I won stop posting the same sh** over and over
That's exactly right. The winner=us the gamers. Enjoy everybody!!!
Wait. I thought this article was completely original and no one but no one had ever, ever, ever written an article exactly like it in the last 2 minutes! In fact, it is so unique that there aren't already 2,345,346 articles exactly like it submitted within the past 24 hours!
MS has me excited for this year, sony has me excited after the next 4-5 years. I am basing this off the LG and versus 13 development hell statuses. I would not expect ff7 or Shenmue to release in at lease 4 or 5 years.
Sony's 2015 conference will forever be known as the Trifecta conference. The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy 7 remake, Shenmue 3. Not only did they have those monsters, they demoed Horizon which looks fantastic. They "stole" Call of Duty from Microsoft (which I personally don't care about, but it was massive none the less). They pretty much gave the impression that they owned alot of 3rd party games with all the exclusive content they announced. They got an exclusive Final Fantasy game. And ended with UnKarted (tee hee).
At the 2016 E3, I predict were going to see games shown that none of us know about now....and will be playing before this "trifecta".I don't say this to be mean, but E3 happens every year.Show me what the next year has in store or maybe a little beyond. But.... 2017? But... "yeah we haven't started it yet, but with a cash commitment we will"? and finally we teased it last decade but just another year or two? Its just not show stealing to me. Now Horizon looked incredible and is something to be excited for....soon.
To each his own. The reason why people are hyped about those games is because they are iconic. FF7 is not only the most iconic ff game it's widely considered to be one of the best rpg's ever created and it's remake has been in demand for ages. The last Guardian comes from an extremely unique and talented dev. The creater of Ico and Shadow of the colossus. Shenmue was a cult classic that people have been asking for a sequel to for a long time as well. 14 years to be exact. You'd have to be a fan of the franchise to understand.
I played ff7 in 97'. I played Super Mario Brothers in 85-86? I threw a lot of quarters at Pac Man in 80' and Space Invaders before that. I've played a long time and respect and enjoy past glory. So...Icons and nostalgia have their place. But it doesn't mean Ford should win a new car show by default because of a planned model T remake.
But every new car model IS just a remake of last years model with a few upgrades isn't it?
So your wish is a 20 year old car with bluetooth and a backup camera? And whoever delivers this gets best of show? Why stop there? Just imagine how much better than ff7 a Zork remake would be. Oh but its not just about being the same car or game with upgrades isn't it? It cant be that as other games have added on to ff7s formula since 1997.So...what exactly was your last point?
Players won with backwards compability and FF7 remake and Horizon and Hololens and Morpheus and Shenmue 3 and Doom and The Last Guardian and everything else that was shown. It was a show where most people where happy unlike E3 2013 when we had issues with always online and stuff like that knocking at our doors.
SONY always wins of course!!!!
Why ask a question you already know that answer to? Sony easily won. It wasn't even close. Best press conference ever! EVER!
I already told you who won so stop asking me.
MS won due to the fact everything they mentioned am buying and looking forward too. Plus A lot of it releasing this year that's a plus .
On games Sony(on show not sure didn't watch Microsoft's) , but the actual show and hosts were abysmal IMO on the night for sony , it was a presentation for the crowd that was there , not the hardcore gamers watching it was IMO thrown together and not coherant, and wtf happened to Morpheus? moments of greatness , and dire moments like ,more destiny add on followed by...TV...oh dear. Hope the coming future game shows make up for it , I want to see more of media molecules creation , looks wonderful.
This is getting ridiculous. This is like the 10th "who won E3" article in 2 days.
And yet you keep clicking those articles.
Not clicking the link, so the sites aren't getting my hit.
Horizon and FF7 remake were the only interesting new games for me.
Comedy at its finest. I just don't get this man-child need to proclaim a winner. Does this self-proclaimed proxy victory somehow give you a feeling of superiority? How broken of an individual do you have to be to get to this point? Thesis material. How about everyone just enjoy what has been presented and be happy that the industry remains strong enough to warrant these type of events.
This is something I really dislike about what the gaming community has become. Everything has to be compared and sorted into winners and losers. This company against that company; this game against that game; this game vs an earlier build of the same game; etc. What's worse is that most of these "judgements" are fueled by unbridled fanboyism, not fairness or a true love for gaming as a whole. This creates a very toxic environment. For me, I enjoyed many different announcements and demos all across the two days of E3 2015. It was generally a very positive experience across the board. I feel no need or desire to put them into categories of winners and losers.
Well, at least im playing Final Fantasy VII Remake on PC or Xbox one, because it´s not Exclusive
It was a great E3 overall.
Xbox fanboys think xbox won and Playstation fanboys think PS won. Imo I think xbox won and showed games I was interested in. Other than Uncharted, NMS and Horizon there was nothing for PS imo. TLG look boring, Dreams is for artists, Shenmue is a jrpg right? And I'm not a fan of FF plus it's timed. Xbox BC Halo 5 Rare replay Gears 4 Elite controller Forza 6 PS Uncharted 4 No man's sky Horizon Didn't care for anything else.
This e3 as a whole is the best in years honestly for both sides I'm happy I hope your happy. It's a win win situation new ip from almost all the big developers and more to come at later shows.
It's pretty simple. If you own an Xbox then you'll say Microsoft won If you own a ps4 then you'll say Sony won
Xbox won IMO.. Even trying to be as unbiased as I can.. BC, halo, gears, forza, recore and all the Indies etc... New dash and controller Sony didn't show much that appeals to me.. Tlg looked kind of cool but I wonder about its mass appeal.. Shenmue is frankly a joke, nobody thinks it'll make a dime and either do I really. Its a hipster title now. Horizon looked cool but nothing mindblowing.. Might as well be tomb raider or AC with robot animals.. Dreams isn't even a game! Lol Uncharted... Well... I'm jealous of that one.. But even with some Xbox games not wowing either, they showed more and with greater appeal IMO..
My Cat won! nuff said
As far as conferences go, Sony was more exciting. But as far as what I am excited about for the holidays, Xbox dominated.
Looking objectively SONY WON big. Bombshell after bombshell had ppl freaking out. Sony's e3 was a love letter to fans. BC to me is worthless because i keep my last gen systems, hololens has very little practical gaming applications, gears 4 was my biggest surprise & biggest letdown, i'm surprised they were allowed to show it, it looked so last gen (except the trees) & so bad w/the shooting, voice acting, gameplay/creatures/characters, the movement was bad it was a jk compared to DOOM & i thought DOOM was good but not great. Cuphead looked awesome tbh. We all know why Sony won (do i have to list...) HORIZON - the best game shown at e3 if u say u weren't floored by it then ur lying. For an open world rpg to look that good with combat/gameplay that impressive is...just wow, power of the PS4. The concept is awesome. When she picked up the t-rex paw & shot him w/it, bad azz. The Last Guardian - the old trailers were CGI, not gameplay. The creature was incredible and the feathers all moving dynamically looked amazing. I was stunned w/the scene where the boy is climbing up the creature as the creature is struggling to climb as well - it was real gameplay, crazy. FFVII Remake - derr Shenmue 3 - Sony wanted to gage interest. They will fund it and it's coming. Uncharted 4 gameplay - was 2nd only to Horizon for best gameplay at e3, truly awesome. Every box checked. Great visuals, fluid combat w/verticality & crazy destructive cover, excellent melee, fantastic pacing. The jeep scene was epic. Dreams - mind blowing innovation that many ppl will not understand atm, but it's possibilities are remarkable as it extends beyond the confines of most ppl's expectation of a "game", it becomes art. I want to create. PS Vue/updates - having the ability to pick individual channels ect. Groundbreaking. Morpheus - wasn't shown much but it's there and with games from Guerrilla and Godlike ect. Very cool. Exclusive content for Batman, Destiny, AC3, Battlefront, Hitman , & 1 month early DLC for cod was exciting especially w/treyarch on stage it meant a lot for Sony. The announcement of Platinum Games & Squenix making a PS4 exclusive "Nier" & Beyond 2 Souls/Heavy Rain coming to PS4. Firewatch, the 4 exclusive Devolver games. Street Fighter V & No Man's Sky - both looked outstanding at e3. What they didn't announce makes it that much more impressive knowing Ratchet & Clank, Gran Turismo 7, God of War IV, Sony Bend's game, Quantic Dream's game, SuckerPunch, Shadow of the Beast ect are coming. The fact they didn't have time to mention all this great content coming in 2015 & beyond shows how packed the show was. Great content like Rime, Rapture, The Witness, Tomorrow Children, Until Dawn, GoW 3 Re, Tearaway Unfolded, Nathan Drake Collection, Soma, The Forest, WiLD, Volume, Edith Finch, Ethan Carter, Gang Beasts, invisible inc., Distance, Astebreed, Alienation, Salt & Sanctuary, Abzú ect. Most of those are coming in 2015. Considering 2 AAA exclusives already released this yr & Persona 5, Until Dawn, GoW, Tearaway & the Drake Collection are still coming, i think PS4 is doing just fine for games in 2015.
Sony won all the demos MS showed for their games were weak especially the Gears 4 reveal and Gears was the only game i want from xbox. The other 2 i want Scalebound and QB will be at Gamescom
Xbox had a much better showing of games coming out this year. Sony had amazing announcements of new projects coming out 2016 and beyond. So.. I guess it depends really? Microsoft wins this year with exclusives. But they will have an uphill battle next year with Uncharted 4 coming out! We shall see.
Can't really say who won but both shows were solid. Gamers on both consoles have a lot to look forward to. Sony I do feel picked better game play moments to display although Halo 5 looked marvelous as well. Without a doubt gamers who choose one console will miss out this generation. I've never cared for Sony but now I see as a gamer it should never of been about being a fanboy.
Hands down...Sony,Sony & Sony!!...just an amazing mind blowing E3 conference!...A+
Horizon looked amazing for a new IP and uncharted looked great as well, But no way in hell would I give Sony the win for a Multiplatform Game, and a Game being funded by a Kickstarter. If BC was announced for the PS4 and Sony had made a jab at MS for charging for Old Games you wouldn't hear the end of it for months. N4G's true colors are really showing after this years E3
Stop this!. E3 is not, I repeat: not a competition. Do you see a man firing a pistol in the air and a commentator saying: ''And they're off'' at the conferences? No!. E3 is about showcasing upcoming videogames for the interest of gamers, not a sport that you can bet on. If you want to bet, go down to your local betting shop and brag there, it'll be more peaceful for the true gamers who are grateful that we are even getting all these games. I think that both console manufacturers had well presented conferences which showcased what game journalists go there for and gamers watch it over live stream for: The Games. They showed games that appealed to everyone's different tastes which I was happy as they had variation to keep it interesting and not tire out milked genres. The announcements of TLG, FF7 and Shenmue 3 surprised me but didn't interest me as I'm not into those genres (That's MY opinion and I'm not going to push it on to those who think otherwise). I am truly chuffed that there were people out there who wanted these games to see the light of day and I say these games deserve it with such a massive fanbase wanting these games. Those people deserve a round of applause and I take my hat off to them. We should all be happy that the developers are putting their time and effort into these games for us gamers to indulge ourselves in and to look forward to those games to come. Enjoy this golden age of gaming and game on.
Sony won the PR war at E3. Sony generated a lot of hype. Even professional hosts were losing their composure on twitch and live streams. In theater everywhere fans were going wild. Grown adult giddy with excitement like they were kids. Sony obvious did something very right. https://www.youtube.com/wat... They pleased their fanbase to an unprecedented level. It is a major victory in my eyes. Remember that Sony and the PS4 already had momentum. They didn't need to change their vision, rebrand, or reconnect with the audience like MS with Xbone disastrous launch. This legendary E3 with 3 mythical games announcement only add to their already strong momentum. Now all major 3rd party developers are firmly aligned with Playstation brand. IE Call of Duty, a known Xbox brand of all things. Funnily, that announcement is buried under the 3 bombshells that was dropped that day. That alone is an obvious sign of things to come, Playstation is leading this generation. Their momentum is even higher than before.
Sony won hands down. Ms was 3rd pl
PS4 won for ps4 owners but Xbox won for Xbox owners and pc gamers to me there's no doubt. Microsoft 'won'
I have both systems, so i won.
only care about Forza motorsport & Gran turismo. Xbox one victory thanks to Forza motorsport 6. still waiting on Gran turismo 7 to buy a PS4.
What a bunch of clueless gamers. E3 is a yearly expo where you expose the media to alpha software or concepts. Any one company having to talk about games that are launching more than 18 months from now is just desparate for something to talk about. Sony had a HORRIBLE show. Forced to discuss titles coming in 2017 just to keep up appearances. As beloved as Ico is the fact is you shouldn't get bonus points for finally starting work on a game that has been delayed forever (just ask Duke Nukem Forever). FF7 and Shenmue both are NOT exclusives to the PS4. E3 is a yearly expo Sony's has zero games coming this second half of 2015. Because their games were so far out half of them weren't even available for hands on impressions at E3 (which defeats the main purpose of the expo: you know exposition). Sony's E3 was weak. People didn't buy PS4s to play games in the future. We live in the present. Half of Sony's games should have been shown at the 2016 expo. Matter fact because they reached so far ahead watch them show the same games next year.
Honestly all this talk about who won E3 is subjective to the gamers pre-fence, what I can say without a doubt is that sony delivered more wow moments for it's fans. I have also seen some post mention that xbox one won because of BC and it's first party games releasing this year. While that is true does it really matter? Being that there will be more than a few third party AAA games dropping this year like Batman Arkham Kight, Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront, Just Cause 3, Metal Gear 5 all games that I will purchasing and playing. All these games will be competing against first party games from Microsoft for your time and money. Honestly I look at BC as a necessity more than a real effort from Microsoft. Why do I say this because if they really wanted you to have BC they would have given it to you from day one. At the end of the day this will benefit existing 360 owners that have not yet jump into current gen. All in all it was great E3 with gamers being the winners regardless of your platform of choice.
XBOX WINS! cmon guys... how can you beat backwards compatibility? Even in terms of exclusives and what have you, XBOX held its own.
