For the first time in forever, there isn't a video game for the new Batman film (yet). Here's why that's a great thing.
But they are bringing out a Watchmen game. Also undesired for all the obvious reasons...
i dont care i want a effing batman game!
But I don't want no DK licensed mediocre adventure game like Batman Begins...
but it was decent enough that I actually finished it. I liked the 1 Sunsoft made for the NES the best out of all of them.
RIP Heath Ledger
R.I.P Heath Ledger
Batman Begins was terrific for a movie game (who remembers driving the Batmobile/Tank) and so was Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and Spiderman 2. The reason most movie games suck is if they're rushed to release the same day as the movie itself.
Just DON'T buy it instead of writing why it will suck and as long as they have a batmobile like the one in the batman begins game, a batpod, gliding and cool fighting then i'll buy it
I'll buy DAY ONE!!!! Hands down. I don't give a rats ass about any of this guy's reasons not to have a game for that incredible movie. As said above> bad movie vidgames are bad cuz they're usually rushed for movie launch. That will not be the case this time.
I don't agree with a few of them but overall I do. Batman needs a proper game and that shouldn't be one tied to a movie licence. Not at all. Batman games work best when they have, no scratch that, all superhero games work best on when they are wrote as a separate story all together and have nothing at all tied to the game that is like the movie.
IT WOULD SUCK!!! Sad as it may be, it's true... =I
Gary Oldman already mentioned that there will be a game to G4, another top 5 (alright, 6) list made obsolete again.
We all remember that Dark Knight quote, from quote-master Alfred: "They all scream that they need it. But they all whisper, 'no'."
How about not tie it into the movie at all? I still dream of an open world Nolan-styled Batman game. But sadly I dont think there is a developer up to the task. Rockstar would be #1 on my list because after seeing Liberty City in GTA4, I think they could recreate Gotham City very well and they might be able to pull off a good story. But I dont think there is one studio that could do it on their own and I doubt you'd see high profile studio teaming up.
Hellz yeah. That's what I'm talking about. An open world Batman game would be awesome. Hire Frank Miller to write the story or something. It could be epic.
not a bad idea at all, even tho i generally disliked superhero games.. but an open-world batman game would be just kick ass!
the Spider-Man 2 game wasnt bad...
Make into a 'meh' game, NO WIZ'ZAY! BEST BATMAN GAME = BATMAN RETURNS SEGA GENESIS.
who the hell are you to tell me i don't want a batman game you dumbass. hell yeah i want a dark knight game. stfu and put an IMO after your stupid opinions
A batman dark knight game shouldnt happen .... AT the same release time than the movie . It's quite simple only chances most movie adaptation got to be good or great , would be to be developped independantly from the release schedule of the movie . That's why goldeneye , Riddick and a very narrow selection of titles were good . Studios dedicated themselves to retranscript well the experience , with much needed time and care ... unlike an iron man or hulk game getting released for the quick buck .
It really just wouldn't live up to the movie, any way you cut it...
Of course it could and would , if you give it to a talented studios like the one behind Riddick or the Darkness : Starbreeze
