Except in Angus Hates Aliens, where it’s a stereotypical redneck farmer complete with a trucker cap and a white vest who was abducted from his farm. “I guess my minions weren’t enough!” the supreme leader quips, flying off in a 50’s-era saucer, whilst you restock from an A-Team styled van. Make no mistake; this is not a straight-faced game."
PS Vita Reviews has just finished playing the first PlayStation Mini release in over 2 years. Here are their final thoughts:
"Angus Hates Aliens is the first PlayStation Mini to be released in 3 years. On the downside, there are some issues with the game’s story translation, the visuals look very pixelated, and there are some areas in the game where you can get stuck and have to start the game over. If you can look past this and be careful with your save data, it’s an interesting little shooter, whether you’re on the go or at home."
It takes a lot to make a retro game that lives up to its roots. The developers of Angus Hates Aliens attempted to accomplish this by creating a 16-bit shooter that plays like a beat 'em up.
