While EA made a passing mention to the technology at its E3 show today and Ubisoft revealed it had one of its first VR videogames in Trackmania Turbo, SEGA has revealed a brand new title for Sony Computer Entertainment’s (SCE’s) Project Morpheus head-mounted display (HMD) for PlayStation 4. y'know, VR needs something can can only be achieved while in VR. Immersion isn't enough, it has to have a hook that is so cool that you would want to own one. Having the same games you could play on console doesnt warrant a purchase.
Resident Evil 4 Remake and Village and Gran Turismo 7 alone make it worth it for me. The difference VR makes is so large it more than doubles the enjoyment of these types of quality VR ports. So I disagree. I would love a future where all great 2d games got some kind of a hybrid port to VR.
