I expect this will be one of the biggest and best E3's for a while

never4get3236d ago

If there's an Xbox One Exclusives AAA JRPG.

3236d ago
Fin_The_Human3236d ago

Loss Odessey 2 has been rumored.

If this game is announced I will scream like a little girl.

Kingthrash3603236d ago

i loved lost odessey...and it would be great to see on xbox...but is it from a first party dev? honest question.. if not we will probrobly see it on ps4 too. the install base is different this gen. also i would rather see a new game rather than another sequal from ms. thats all they have thats big to announce is sequals. they said scalebound if not gunna be there neither will quantum break...thos are new ips. with all the money ms has i wish they would invest it in new ips, instead of buying timed exclusives, and making sequal after sequal.

Fin_The_Human3236d ago

King MS owns Loss Odessey so it will just be on the Xbox and maybe PC oif MS wishes.

The real question is will MistWalker be making the game...those guys are the heart and soul of that game.

I enjoyed LO more than I enjoyed the current FF games.

LexHazard793235d ago

@big-finger, im surprised you got so many agrees. MS owns several JRPG Ips..Infinite Discovery, Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey. Problem is they probably wouldn't sell well. But they do have "exclusive jrpgs".

Abaddon3235d ago (Edited 3235d ago )

Not only some of u need to understand that not even half the gamers out there care about JRPGs, but even the ones that do, objectively, wouldn't judge a whole E3 based on that. Get real.

ThatOneRiggaNob3236d ago

lol, I find myself saying that every year and usually it's true.

Magicite3236d ago

what can be bigger than Halo? and Halo is *yawn*.

yarbie10003236d ago

What Sony exclusive do you think will sell more than Halo?

3235d ago
Kingthrash3603235d ago

@yarbie...
Gran turismo
Uncharted4
For starters...you gotta get out of last gen bro. Ps4 has almost double the sales as Xbox meaning if halo5 sells to every Xbox owner but uncharted or gran turismo sells toonly half of the ps4 owners they would outsell halo5 ,and while I love halo I do know it's past its glory days and won't be breaking any sales records set by previous halo games...I mean reality is real.

Abaddon3235d ago

I think you confuse Halo with Killzone. Killzone is the soulless game period. Halo is the king of FPS. #dealwithit

iTechHeads3235d ago

Why because Microsoft said so?

What we know they will have is Halo/Forza/Gears. Not much different from any other year. Same old same old.

Swap Titanfall for Tomb Raider. Insert Token Indie Game somewhere and you have a Microsoft press conference.

Don't get me wrong, Microsoft press conferences are rarely boring. In fact they probably have the best presentation and pacing out of the big 3.

TheGreatGamer3235d ago

Really? Seem to find you too often trashing on MS and the XB1 but just wait until tomorrow

Abaddon3235d ago

Says you that the only good first party games uve come to expect is Uncharted ports, last of us upscaled and another god of war collection?

Gtfo lmao

New OS with native DX12 support. Gears 4 and/or Gears Remake. Tomb Raider. Halo 5. Amazing times having a Xbox One. I think this E3 Sony will get butchered.

MasterCornholio3236d ago (Edited 3236d ago )

"I think this E3 Sony will get butchered."

Nope

@Mike

What im saying is that people are a bit naive to claim that Microsoft will destroy Sony at E3. I remember that Microsoft said they would kill Sony at E3 and the opposite happened.

Moral here is never count your chickens before they hatch. Its not like we know everything about the content of these types of conferences.

Mikefizzled3236d ago

Let's face it, If there's even a hint of Last Guardian the internet will claim Sony won something you can't actually win.

Fin_The_Human3236d ago (Edited 3236d ago )

Master any company can surprise us...heck Nintendo might blow us away with a new metriod or a MMO Pokémon.

But u cannot deny this year the hype for MS has been like no other.

Also this is Phil's first year as head hamcho and one thing I know is true is that Phil is a gamer like me and you.

One more day and we will see of all this hype was just smoke.

Sony has been very quite...maybe its there strategy and then boom blow is away or maybe they are complacent with first place and feel like they don't have to worry about MS.

MasterCornholio3236d ago

"But u cannot deny this year the hype for MS has been like no other. "

From what ive seen most of the hype came from Microsoft themselves. Most of it from tweets from Phil Spenser.

"Also this is Phil's first year as head hamcho and one thing I know is true is that Phil is a gamer like me and you. "

So is Yoshida. The difference between the two is that Yoshida is the quiet type.

"One more day and we will see of all this hype was just smoke. "

I really hope that it wont be. But Microsoft always hype their e3s to the high heavens so theres a chance they are just blowing smoke.

Anyways i agree with you. The conferences are tomorrow and we will find out which one has the most to show. Theres really no point arguing hours before the event starts.

Rookie_Monster3236d ago (Edited 3236d ago )

"The difference between the two is that Yoshida is the quiet type."

Maybe he is being quiet because there just ain't nothing big to talk about on Sony side.

As far as tweet goes, Phil is just doing his duty and answering everyone's question to the best of his ability with honesty while not giving too much away. He said DX12 won't be a huge difference maker on XB1 but does help the system overall, and the Sony fans here and on Neogaf took his words like gospel and keep quoting him on every DX12 xbox related news but when he said that E3 will be the biggest in Xbox history and that new titles and exclusives will be shown, somehow the same people said he is doing his PR preaching and just hyping it up. Smh.

MasterCornholio3235d ago (Edited 3235d ago )

@Rookie

"Maybe he is being quiet because there just ain't nothing big to talk about on Sony side."

Now your claiming that Sony shut down all their studios and cancelled all their games? Thats just absurd.

:I

Hes always quiet. He isnt the type to gloat and brag about things.

ninsigma3236d ago

I highly doubt they will get butchered lol
But it is the best chance MS has had in a while, they've got a lot to show by the sounds of it but at the same time we know a lot of what they're going to show because they generally play their cards early. Hoping for some decent durprises though....like a freakin gears collection...pleeeeeeaaassseee e!!!

MasterCornholio3236d ago

"but at the same time we know a lot of what they're going to show because they generally play their cards early."

Thats really my only concern is the lack of surprises within the conference. Sony on the other hand has been incredibly quiet and theres a higher chance of getting surprises in their conference than Microsofts.

Like i always say lets wait until the big 3 have their conferences and then lets argue the results.

guyman3236d ago

"I think this E3 Sony will get butchered"

Mega facepalm. People on this site are ridiculous

MasterCornholio3236d ago

I honestly dont believe either will get butchered. However we will have people from all camps claiming that.

I actually want to see a fantastic conference from all three of them. That way nobody loses.

TheRedButterfly3236d ago (Edited 3236d ago )

@#2.3 While I agree that the people on this site are ridiculous, #2 isn't the kind of person on this site. Look at #1.1, #1.2, and #1.3 for examples of ridiculous.

OB1Biker3236d ago

Yea that doesnt even make any sense.
E3 is going to be great for every gamer and thats a fact. Good for xbox owners if they like what they see but Im quite sure Ill enjoy seeing more Uncharted and awesome new games too.

Letthewookiewin3236d ago

@Play- You're quote should say "I hope Sony gets butchered because if not X1 will slip further behind". I truly think MS is going to have a really great conference but your a fool to think Sony isn't going to have one as well.

kraenk123236d ago

You people say this every year. We stopped caring a while ago.

wegetsignalx3236d ago

Sony could announce any of these 1st party AAA games at E3 and have a great show.

The Last of Us 2, God of War 4, Gran Turismo 7, Horizon, Yearly MLB, Gravity Rush 2, and AAA games from Sucker Punch, Media Molecule, Japan Studio, Guerilla Cambridge, Sony Bend, Sony London, and Quantic Dream (2nd party).

PistolsAtDawn3236d ago

Horizon and Sucker punch games could be good...I'm excited for those, but even if everything on that list gets announced Sony still bows out this year IMO.

fanboysmackdown3236d ago

The only people who make it a contest are the fanboys. Pretty sure Sony will have some amazing stuff to show off too and as gamers, we're all winners. Only thing Sony is having trouble with is the present. What are they bringing out this holiday to counter MS's big titles.

PistolsAtDawn3236d ago (Edited 3236d ago )

Really it's about gamers winning or losing...but I see your point. So far all the CONFIRMED stuff from the MS camp is already tons better than everything even rumored to be coming from the Sony side of the house this year. Horizon has potential to good ( I just hope it doesn't get overshadowed by it's own hype like the last Geurilla game)...I've been looking forward to hearing about that game and Sucker Punch's new title (same hype thing as the Geurilla game)...but this close to E3 there haven't really been any amazing leaks from Sony....so either they have a REALLY tight grip on some AMAZING secrets...or this year might be a "rebuilding year" (sports reference).

We don't KNOW yet, but I'm just saying that I can't imagine what game announcement would even begin to compete with what we ALREADY KNOW about from MS/X1 this year...and something THAT BIG would at least be hinted at as a rumor by now (i.e. if Sony had Fallout 4 as an exclusive..but that has passed). Same can be said for Nintendo. So far the two biggest rumors from Sony and Nin are Horizon and Metroid respectively...and I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to play both games...however that still shadows compared to MS's line up this year (without surprise announcements).

One thing that has me really pumped for MS this year is that it sounds like the games line up is FILLED with hit after hit...not just numbers of titles...and MORE than that, lots of exciting tech/os type hype as well. I'm also expecting that before this gen is over (hopefully this E3) that MS announces a Steam app...esp with the whole widows 10 DX12/easy porting...that allows X1 gamers to shop for games from the Steam Library (at least all the games that can be controlled by a controller).

@spotie Stop viewing the world through fanboy goggles..you're only hurting yourself. It's video games, it's a hobby. Holding on to your fanboy delusions just makes it seem like you have massive insecurities and since you can't do anything about them in real life...you try to join an online gang behind the safety of the internet....smile...enjoy games on all consoles or else it's your loss...not mine.

Spotie3236d ago

lol, no. When most of the confirmed stuff was present at the LAST E3, it's hard to give it the same level of importance a brand new material.

On the other hand, the complete lack of rumors from Sony should be intriguing at the least, but somehow that's come to be understood by certain groups as some sort of indication that Sony has nothing to show. Which is odd, because when nothing is leaked from Nintendo, no one ever thinks that.

Of course, Mnecraft could be the only thing shown by MS, and I imagine many of you would still say it was the best E3 ever.

Spotie3235d ago

lmao, you're hilarious. While you're taking the fanboy route. It's a fact that what we already know about from Microsoft is comprised almost entirely of previously existing franchises, and entries in said franchises that we saw something of this time last year. By simple virtue of familiarity, it's going to be hard for that to be as exciting as new material.

On the flipside of things, we don't know much from Sony. While that means it's hard to be hyped up about their conference, it has considerably higher potential because of how little is known. However, we DO have to consider that every one of Sony's firts party studios is at work on some game or another, and we know about... Uncharted and Horizon, sorta. What's Sucker Punch up to? SSM? Media Molecule? We assume Polyphony is working on GT. Oh, we DO know a bit about Sony Bend's game, though.

Still, overall, there are too many studios- many of them with multiple teams- working on unannounced titles. That we know this to be true, and yet have no idea what most of them are doing HAS to be at last a little exciting.

Oh, unless you're in love with Microsoft or Nintendo and thus are more than eager to disregard the silence.

Which of us falls into that category?

nosferatuzodd3235d ago (Edited 3235d ago )

Hits after hits so tell.me what the last boss dors thats so revolutionary cuz it sound like you already see and play everything from microsoft every e3every event its tge same thing xbox going to kill it and it never happen arent you guys tired of crying wolf yet

scark923236d ago

Now would be the ideal time to show what the consoles have up their sleeves!

Moldiver3236d ago

Its the IPs that havent been announced (until tommorrow) where I think we will see the biggest surprises.

Halo 5 will impress, no doubt. The beta was halo on steroids. if they back that up with great maps (which they no doubt will..plus we have forge to recreate classics)and throw in an epoic campaign (and all signs point to it being epic, based on some of the hands on we have read about over the last few days)..then its THE FPS of 2015 in my books. But then halo was already my fave FPS, so as long as the best gets even better.....we in!

Forza motorsport 6....Biggest racer this year bar none. I have Pcars, FM5, and FH2, and they are my fave racing games thus far. But FM6, with day, night, weather and further improved physics and damage at 1080P and 60FPS, is going to be THE racer for xbox gamers this year and a long time to come.

Tombraider...What more needs to be said about this one. Its been more ferociously argued about than any other 3rd party exclusive in recent times. That tells MS all they need to know about how succesful this game could be for them. Is it a system seller? well, the series has never had that burden before, so we'll see, but I think it will sell xbox this Xmas, for sure.

Backed up by gigantic, Elite dangerous, below, inside,cuphead, A gears of war remaster (or is that a remaster trilogy with a full online suite, now?), and who knows what else.....

They look like the strongest going in based on whats been confirmed to show. But the surprises they are holding close till tommorrow...the megatons, that are going to shock and awe. Ms are in a desperate position...they have more resources and financial clout than sony and nintendo combined and multiplied. Im curious to see what the company that spent 2.5 billion on one IP and studio will do. They need to do something big..something epic..something special to derail sony's good will with gamers who are still on the fence and the general public.

I dont know how tomorrow is going to go, but I think they will have some real shockers. like...REAL megatons...We know that they even willing hire AAA devs outside of their inhouse to handle IP. ...it could be anything, with MS.

marlinfan103236d ago (Edited 3236d ago )

Yeah i think they've definitely got some really big games we don't know about yet. They took arguably 3 out of the 4 biggest games we already know about (SB, QB, and crackdown) out of e3 and moved them to gamescom. They must have some serious surprises if they're willing to do that.

They're clearly very confident about the unannounced games

voodoogts3236d ago

Microsoft (net worth 320 billion dollars.) > Sony. (net worth 8 billion dollars.)

Nuff said.

MasterCornholio3236d ago (Edited 3236d ago )

The heck does that have to do with the conferences?

Omran3236d ago

Playstation sold 24 million > Xbox sold 13 million

by your logic

PistolsAtDawn3236d ago (Edited 3236d ago )

Number of hours played through the first year Xbox One 2 billion > PS4 1 Billion (despite having the console sales lead).

...which console is for casuals?

@mark below....of course we all are entitled to our own opinions, but seriously dude you REALLY REALLY REALLY need to check your ignorance. You can keep spreading all those "false facts" and strutting around like you did something...but everyone that actually knows what they are talking about feels sorry for you. Your fanboy ignorance is only hurting yourself. It's so tempting to bust you out on EVERY SINGLE point you tried and failed to make...but I can see that you're intentionally ignorant about the whole thing anyway.

mark134uk3236d ago (Edited 3236d ago )

Microsoft = software company
Sony = hardware experts

ps4 = 24 mil
xb1 = 13 mil

ps4 = 1.84 teraflop
xb1 = 1.31 teraflops

ps4 = native 1080p
xb1 = native 900p

all ms have this E3 is more secret dx12 sauce, and a weird silly partnership with oculus

and your logic makes ms look worse, there worth $312 bill more and they produce a weaker console along with extremly poor PR

StrayaKNT3236d ago

But they do have much better games imo and id prefer games over specs and sales anyday.

WeAreLegion3236d ago

Both Sony and Microsoft make excellent software and hardware.

Lennoxb633236d ago

I wish people would stop including "PR" as a reason for people to buy something. I don't care what the company says. If your product is garbage, I'm not buying it. If its a great product, I'm buying it. Simple as that. I couldn't care less what they say.

PlayableGamez3235d ago

PS4 and XB1 are up to 4k Resolution.
As for games resolutions vary.
Not all games will be 1080p on PS4.
And not all games will be below 1080p on XB1.
That is fact and you can't deny it.

@Aussie - what are these games, cause I sure don't see any.

Sony=rough financial condition leading to the selling of many assets and PS3 also lost them millions.

If Sony was as huge as MS they may have been recommended the same

BattleAxe3235d ago

^^^

That's true, Sony didn't even start to break even with the PS3 until 5 years into the last console cycle.

WeAreLegion3236d ago

So, the company worth 320 billion dollars is losing to the company worth 8 billion dollars?

That's kind of pathetic.

PS4OUR3235d ago

Lol pretty much. The little guy is spanking the bigger guy.

iTechHeads3235d ago

and Nintendo has a shitload of money in the bank.

Still didn't make a difference as no one wants a Wii U.

Money doesn't buy you success. Make quality products and the market will respond.

PS4 22Million > XB1 12Million

LexHazard793235d ago

Is this a Forbes comparison? MS has a certain amoUnt of money they set asIde for Xbox division. I love Xbox but consider yourself lucky we even have Xbox. Had it been another company Xbox wouldnt be around.

Infinite but not the first two games? Witcher 3 but not the first two games?? GTA V but not literally any of the games before it??? Portal 2 but not the first? Also if you're going to play Shadow of The Colossus play the remaster and not the remake. Can't say I disagree with the list but my man it's all over the place.

Name Last Name41d ago

I mean some sequels are objectively better and you don’t need to play the whole series.

Inverno41d ago

But most of these games have a story to follow, sure you can catch up with a YouTube vid but where's the fun in that?

LucasRuinedChildhood41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

A list like this isn't telling you not to play the previous games if you want to. It's just giving you legendary games to play.

But tbh, you don't always have to force yourself to play every entry in a franchise to get to the better ones.

- The vast majority of Witcher 3 players never played the first 2 and had a great time. The first 2 games aren't in the same league.
- The GTA games are self-contained with the odd fun reference. You can easily jump into any of them.
- The Shadow Of The Colossus remake looks and controls better than the original (plus it has a 60fps option while the remaster is just 30fps). New players will enjoy it more.
- Portal 2 is a lot better than Portal 1 and takes the concept much further gameplay-wise. Storywise, Portal 1 is fairly light too. Not that you shouldn't play it but realistically ... you'd love Portal 2 whether you play it or not (at lot of Portal 2 players have never played 1).

Bioshock 1 is the only one I agree with you on simply because it's one the best games of all time and arguably better than Infinite. No other setting like Rapture.

Looking at the list, I'd recommend playing Uncharted 1 before 2 but no doubt, 2 is the legendary one you have to play.

Inverno41d ago

I get it, but that's just my opinion on his opinion. I just think that before you play a sequel you should still play what came before it. Maybe it's just me but i find it fascinating playing through the first game in a series and seeing how it has evolved through its sequels. Like I said I don't disagree with the list, other than SoTC which I strongly believe the remaster of the original should be played above the remake.

AuraAbjure41d ago

Awesome list! Hot take on Fear (and it's hard af expansion Persaus Mandate!) Bioshock Infinite is stellar, so is the Witcher 3 and you nailed it by having Ocarina of Time. So many fantastic games! Gotta play 'em all! Next one on my list is Prey after I beat Dead Space 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction.

Minecraft Bedrock Introduces Official Add-Ons To Marketplace

Minecraft Bedrock is introducing add-ons to the marketplace. The add-ons can now be added to many existing and new worlds.

Jin_Sakai61d ago (Edited 61d ago )

Nice! Next up, shaders on consoles.

“A new update is improving how mods work for Minecraft Bedrock. Mojang has introduced add-ons to the marketplace.”

“These add-ons can now easily be added to new and existing worlds instead of being tied to a single world.
There are plenty of free and paid add-ons that will let you customize just about anything in your world.”

OtterX60d ago

So RayTracing is no longer locked to the NVIDIA maps? I know there was a workaround, but it will be nice to have easier access to all worlds.
