Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt – The game of all RPG games

IM PLAYIN discuss Witcher Wild Hunt.

"I am going to start this off by saying this isn’t going to be a review. There are plenty of them out there, and a fair share of critical opinions. So if you haven’t decided whether the Witcher is your cup of tea but want to know fast, I want to share 5 simple points with you. Mainly because you don’t need to read a 2,000 word review to understand whether the game is for you or not."

here's what's important to know: while the game is outstanding from the start - remember this.....the enemies do NOT scale up in difficulty as you level up, so when you reach a higher level, the game pretty much becomes a bore with nothing to do, no difficult enemies to fight and very little xp for beating anything ( I got 10 xp for beating a lvl 30 forktail, for example)

it's a game that's definitely worth the money - I got around 130 hours of great fun; but,not having the enemies level up with the player was a HUGE mistake by the devs....this game could have been even better.

Funny: every time an RPG has enemies that do scale with players, most everyone agrees that THAT'S a huge mistake.

And I kinda think you're missing the point. The Primary Aspect of Engagement with The Witcher 3 (or any of the Witcher games) is not and never has been the combat... it's always been the quests and narrative reactivity.

If you're playing the game to difficult random enemies out in the middle of nowhere, you'd be just as happy with a game like Dragon's Dogma, or your garden-variety MMO.

i see what you're saying and do agree - to a point. but, wouldn't you ALSO agree that if CDPR puts in swords that require level 42, 44, 45 and 48 to use them, they'd have prepared the game for players that reach the high 30s to have SOMETHING to do or fight in order to level up to those 40+ levels so those swords could be used? i don't think that's too much to ask or missing the point at all.
thanks for your input!

Keep in mind there are two expansions planned, one of which doesn't add any new areas to explore.

The most logical explanation for that high-level stuff being there is simply so that it will be there to provide some traversal challenge to players working their way through the new quests in the first expansion.

Don't count on CDPR raising the level cap or adding new abilities.
