If You Tie A Splatoon Match, Bulls*** Happens

Patricia Hernandez:

"Ever wonder what happens if two teams cover the field with the same amount of paint in Turf Wars? Is there sudden death? A tie-breaker? I wish."

The story is too old to be commented.

Hahaha that's hilarious. I don't think there's any chance of this happening anyway. Also it is possible that some ink may have been left by their footsteps as that does happen...

I remember that vid, and can already explain it.
Flopping around like that in Squid form does leave minute amounts of Ink, or at the very least can spread existing ink around by a few pixels.
To prove it, for those of you who own it, think back to some of the time's you've been climbing a vertical surface, and the very lip of it wasn't quite covered.
A quick jump or two while swimming and some persistence, and suddenly there would be just enough ink to get you up over the edge.
I imagine something similar happened here: with all that flopping around and Rocket-jumping in Squid form, it's not inconceivable that they, at some point, left minute traces of ink on the stage.

You also leave behind ink temporarily in your footsteps, if you start walking directly after turning from squid form to human form then walking a few steps.
Heck, you can even see it if you do it in the Inkopolis plaza.
In a multiplayer match, that might have left a permanent trace or two.

What we need, is a match where no one does anything whatsoever, to force a definite tie.
