We heard then speaking English in the E3 2015 trailer, so I thought the localization process was going faster than usual. Generally we have to wait longer to see a Kingdom Hearts game get translated during previews.

It could very well be that they just haven't gotten to recording lines for Lea yet rather than there being no work done at all on the localization at this point.

Yi-Long2927d ago

I really hope this time Square-Enix will also include the Japanese voices for the Western release.

smashman982927d ago

I don't hope they don't do it and for your sake and all others like you I hope they do include it as it has no effect whatsoever on me.

MJunior2927d ago

Square Enix needs to step it up with a lot of things.

smashman982927d ago

Really because square seems to be on a roll to me

KentBenMei2926d ago

Agreed, especially respecting their own games and franchises, and genres they have had a hand in perfecting (turn-based JRPGs, namely). Chrono Trigger can't even get an HD remaster 20+ years later in a generation of remasters, FF7R and FFXV are damn ARPGs...Square is simply not the Square I knew.

Don't even get me started on their lack of support for Vita, Wii U, and even (though to a lesser degree) 3DS. Their focus on Mobile is disgusting, too.

indysurfn2926d ago

I can't find a single letter in your comment that I can disagree with! WELL SAID AGAIN!

AizenSosuke2927d ago

SE needs to step up big time.

Possibly my favourite KH character, got it memorized?
I liked his friendship.

Meh...never really cared for Rising, it was an alright hack and slash but despite being a spin off I still didn't feel like it fit in well with the MGS Universe.

Plus dosen't matter how hard they try I still can't find Raiden likable. They had to turn him into a bloody cyborg ninja just to try and make him cool.

Would rather see a spin off with Meryl set after MGS4

UNKLE3248d ago (Edited 3248d ago )

Meryl was the worst character in mgs4 mg rising is a great game and i hope there will be rising2!

-Foxtrot3248d ago (Edited 3248d ago )

She was not a bad character, she was hardly even in MGS4 anyway to create such an impact.

Rising just seemed like a hack and slash with a forced MGS skin.

Least with Meryl you can still have stealth gameplay but they can raise the stakes since Meryl is not like Snake in terms of skill

comebackkid98913248d ago (Edited 3248d ago )

DO NOT insult Meryl Silverburgh. And that wedding scene? Never happened.

Cy3248d ago

I agree, I didn't really like Rising at all. Especially the way they turned Sunny into a typical KAWAII UGUU~~~! teenage anime girl. It was just...a Platinum Games game reskinned with MGS characters. Which is very bleh to me.

-Foxtrot3248d ago

Exactly what I thought.

It didn't seem like Metal Gear at all, everything just seemed forced.

Lukejrl3248d ago

Yea. kojima doing a squad based tactical espionage would be cool with Meryl and rat patrol. Damn konami.

Germany73248d ago

I was expecting a lot from Rising, a game made by Platinum and a Metal Gear spinoff, it seemed to be great, but it was a disappointment for me.
Raiden is still an uninteresting character, the campaign it's too short and the gameplay it's nothing special, and that's coming from a Platinum game.
They should include Gray Fox instead.

Magicite3248d ago

Rising was my favorite over-the-top action game.

Tdmd3248d ago (Edited 3248d ago )

Rising was not a bad game (I liked it very much), but yes, it felt forced in the MGS universe. Like if it didn't belong there more than Snake's nightmare in mgs3. But I think that is because Raiden was almost a Superman with a katana. I think it could be way better if they had took the stealth approach and had made the game more like tenchu than like bayonetta. I don't think that Raiden transformation into a ninja cyborg was a bad move, but his rise to godhood was ridiculous.

AnimeFreak0133248d ago

Personally I really enjoyed rising not necessarily because of Raiden as the main character but the over the top actions it had with the awesome slow mo cutting ur enemy. Plus it had amazing boss fights monsoon being my favorite boss. And last the awesome soundtrack it had again monsoon theme being my favorite.

trenso13248d ago

i agree the original idea for the game was so much better

https://www.youtube.com/wat...

platinum went and ruined it imo

Awman, I would have loved a Rising 2. Intense battles, awesome story, awesome music. Damn you Konami, add this to your list a many failings.

gangsta_red3248d ago

Well at least Konami is considering making games for consoles still...unless of course they meant a sequel on mobile.

Mikefizzled3248d ago

The sequel needs Platinum. Internal Konami proved they couldn't do it.

Summons753248d ago

Oh god I hope not. Games made for cell phone in mind are barely playable and a energy drain. A game that required precision timing, amazing visuals, and intense battles....forget it.

Captain_Wormy3248d ago

I wouldn't mind Metal Gear Rising 2 since I loved the first one. I just wish it would've been made with the FOX Engine like the original plan.

Hayter was terrible in PW; Big Boss sounded like Old Snake. I am happy with the change.

Gaime3249d ago (Edited 3249d ago )

He sounded like a mix of Old Snake and Naked Snake but i think it was fine though.

Gatsu3248d ago

Not in my opinion. I love David's voice but I'm happy with the change.

Lukejrl3248d ago

I was semi serious. Probably more facetious

-Foxtrot3249d ago

Then why not just get rid of the Japanese voice actor for a good Japanese actor so David Hayter could stay on. I mean lets face it David Hayter has a bigger fanbase for Snake then the Japanese one.

After all the stuff we've gotten in the form of clips, trailers and even Ground Zeroes...Kiefer voices him like there's no soul in it, just another paycheck

Summons753249d ago

That's what I've been saying but people only call me a troll. I have nothing against Kiefer, he's a good actor but he just isn't Snake.

Imalwaysright3249d ago (Edited 3249d ago )

That's right, Kiefer isn't voicing Snake. He is voicing The Big Boss. I say "voicing" because the only person that can say "I'm Snake/The Big Boss" is Kojima.

Summons753249d ago

@IAMALWAYSRIGHT

Big Boss IS Naked Snake...you do realize that right, he even has the name Venom Snake in MgSV to add to his list of code names.

Mainman3249d ago

I think Kojima's motivation behind replacing Hayter with Kiefer, might be because Kiefer has more acting range both for facial mo-cap and voice acting.

Imalwaysright3249d ago (Edited 3249d ago )

No he isn't. In Peace Walker he accepted the title BIG BOSS leaving the code name Naked Snake behind. Kiefer is voicing BIG BOSS.

Hold_It3249d ago

I think the problem is Kojima wanted an AMERICAN actor. The japanese love American culture, and Kojima has said numerous times that he is a huge fan of Hollywood films. if you think about it Jack Bauer is very close to a Sam Fisher character, and Splinter Cell is the only real competition to MGS. Kojima has said himself several times that he considers the USA version of MGS the true version.

David Hayter is Canadian.

calvincrack3249d ago

I still think there's a 70% chance he's in the game

BISHOP-BRASIL3249d ago

Same here... I still believe we'll get Hayter there as the real Big Boss/Snake, while Kieffer is a modfied clone/doppleganger/head transplanted amnesiac in Naked Snake's Body... It has been so long and with so many crazy theories out there that I really can't figure out the story as I would for most games (so, good job Kojima, I guess), but the fact Heyter never stepped out of spotlight whenever the franchise is brought up coupled with the fact we have had TWO snake codenames given to, supposedly, the same single character (Punished Snake and Venon Snake), make me believe we'll most definately have some kind mislead about who you're playing with at the beginning, much like MGS2 and 3... Or maybe I'm just delusional and thanks to Kojima, now I belong in that sanitarium, who knows...

jmc88883249d ago

Well given that Konami seems to be making lots of business decisions to cut costs, like focus on mobile, the puzzle becomes clearer that this process did not happen overnight, and one way this could of manifested itself before we knew what we now know, would be to save money on voice actors, especially the lead one.

Summons753249d ago

I'm sure Hayter's paycheck is a lot smaller than Kiefer's check...

Klonoa-dreamtraveler3249d ago

Bleh i can't stand Dropkick Morphys specially that song. Anyway the first thing i noticed with Kiefer is he can't voice act for crap if he was taking snakes spot or not there is like no emotion to feed off of when he talks in the game its like he talks in the same flat pitch in everything he says. I swear its like Kiefer just got up from bed still half asleep and started voice acting on spot.

Nothing against the guy just i don't think he was the best choice voice actor wise.
