I play on a 52" TV and still had to step closer to read those pesky sub-titles.

AC2020x3622d ago

I've been playing on a 27" monitor with my ps4. I've had no issues with the subtitle size.

That being said, I think I'm going to disable them to further immerse myself in the game!

ArchangelMike3621d ago

I always disble subtitles. I prefer to play without them becaeu I alwasy get distracted from the onscreen action, when I'm trying to read subtitles.

Palitera3622d ago (Edited 3622d ago )

42" here, had to move the PS4 to another room.
60" there, the font size is still annoying, and the stutter and frame rate still feel too bad.

Will wait until they finish the game (already ultra polished, according to their prerelease lies).

Vermigs3622d ago

46" here and have the same problem. Can see them kinda ok from my couch but once I move to my desk I might as well get thicker glasses.

WizzroSupreme3622d ago

Good, because only an ant could read that text.

xander707693622d ago

How about fixing the frame rate/stutter? A little worried they didn't mention it in this article. 1.04 improved frame rate significantly on PC, hoping it can improve on consoles too...

TheCommentator3622d ago

PS4 drops below 20 fps sometimes, like when it's raining in a city, and PS4 has certain graphics details dumbed down at times like fog too. Maybe they should have gone with 900p and a framerate almost always above 30? I wonder why CDPR chose to differentiate the console versions at the sacrifice of something different in each version anyways. It doesn't make sense.

I've heard that PS4 will see framerate improvements and XB1 will have locked 30fps to remove the odd stuttering problems with a future patch though. I hope that's true.

xander707693622d ago

Well the 1.04 patch gave PCs a 10-15 fps boost, according to articles I read. If they can accomplish something similar on consoles we should see a pretty rock solid 30fps 99% of the time. That's what I'm really hoping for, but any improvement at all to frame rate will be welcome.

TheCommentator3622d ago

Thanks, xander!

It's really good to know CDPR is working hard to make the game the best it can be on all platforms post launch! Not to mention all the free dlc. On a side note, I'm a big fan of sci fi so I hope cyberpunk comes out before 2017.

Duke193622d ago

I hope they found a good balance with the font size - guess ill find out this evening. I prefer smaller font/UI but it was definitely a bit too hard to read before. Would be really cool if they could make it adjustable in an options menu

Skate-AK3622d ago

Font size hasn't been tweaked. Only the subtitles where people talk.

Duke193621d ago

Yeah noticed that last night - the subtitles do look better though

phantomexe3622d ago (Edited 3622d ago )

I dont know about you guys but after the update last nite I still cant load my save file up. Ps4 too

This is a great month for me, I have almost bought Wild Hearts a ton of times and same for Cult of the Lamb.

Some really good variety here, and some serious playtime on offer here with all the RPG's. Good luck finishing all these games in a month heh.

Time Splitters is fantastic on the classic side, and glad to see they keep supporting PSVR2 with games

Really grateful I had the good sense to drop pay to play multi-player. It's a rip off.

Einhander1972255d ago

At least when you buy the basic PS+ tier you actually get new games often including AAA games.

This month PS+ got the Star Wars Skywalker Saga, Five Nights at Freddy's:: Security Breach, and Ender Lilies

Xbox hasn't gotten any new games for their basic tier since July and before that it was in August 2023. And if that wasn't bad enough the games they got were just recycled from game pass.

TheEroica254d ago

14 people downvoted and enjoy paying for something millions of pc gamers get for free. Lol.

seanpitt23255d ago (Edited 255d ago )

They could have included the dlc for the Witcher 3 game of the year addition geez..

How many times do they want to keep putting WD2 on

Einhander1972255d ago

PS+ 17 games this month unlike game pass which only offered 7 almost half of them I got years ago on PS+,.and the rest are indies from companies I haven't even heard of.

And the Sony Pictures movie collection will probably get updated with new movies and shows from Crunchy Roll too.

Not bad for a subscription that costs significantly less game pass even before they raised the prices.

crazyCoconuts255d ago

Still not as good as it was a year ago. I think they're walking back on the quality of games just like XBGP is. It's a good thing though...ppl gotta start buying games again.

darthv72255d ago

For me, the redeeming titles are the Time Splitters ones. Sadly i do not subscribe to premium, only extra.

VersusDMC255d ago

Well you can still buy them. PS2 titles range from 5 (the clone wars) to 20 (tomb raider legend). So it may be a good price.

Becuzisaid255d ago

I'd bet these are in the expensive side. People have been wanting some kind of timesplitters remaster for a long time now.

pwnmaster3000255d ago

I thought it was a pretty good month, then I saw time splitter. It made it so much better. I always wanted to play this game but never did

Deeeeznuuuts255d ago

Not the best month for me other than timesplitters!! Can't wait to replay them again, be nice if they have trophies too but no danger of they don't, can't wait!
