The Witcher 3 Contains One Of Gaming's Most Beautiful Moments

Richard Drummond of Gaming Tech United writes:

"The chills. Goosebumps. Teary-eyed. These are all things some may experience when they hear a great song, or watch a great movie. Both those mediums are considered art forms and a certain scene in the Witcher 3 calls front and center as to why video games should be recognized as an art form as well."

Need loot, xp, and blood - don't have time for cutscenes lol, skipped right on through this bore-fest and got back on track doing what it is witchers do best

witcher 3's most beautiful moment is bisecting a torso diagonally with a single swipe.

henr0s3670d ago

That is not only immature and just silly, but quite wrong. Sure, you can enjoy the combat and the masterful dismemberment but scenes like this one from the game really cemented it as a memorable experience. And I, for one, feel sorry for you that you skipped it.

Stapleface3670d ago

So his opinion is wrong because of your opinion and your calling him immature..

Griever3670d ago (Edited 3670d ago )

@Stapleface

Yes it is his opinion but not every opinion is correct or equal. There are bound to be wrong or inferior ones. For example, the opinion of a Highschool dropout regarding American politics is not equal to the opinion of a PhD. in Political Science. His approach to the game, his preferences, his insensitivity towards emotions and his indifference towards the story and its underlying real world themes is a clear sign of immaturity and shallowness.

@stapleface

lol, that's not how opinions work. because they're opinions they don't have the right to not be right or wrong, they should just be respected (aka listened to), they can be disagreed with. disagreeing with someone's opinion is an opinion, aka, the fact that it's an opinion doesn't really matter.

This game's story is so solid, I find myself listening to even the side chatter among the local npc's. Really a top notch RPG. I'm loving the exploration of the countryside and finding monsters and mobs and side quests. Keeps me from advancing the main story (that Annabelle quest was awesome). I just want to clear all those ? marks.

Seek help. I love the combat but the story combined with the gameplay is what The Witcher the game does best

Stapleface3670d ago

I don't skip the cut scenes but I must agree, those dismemberments are fantastic. Sorry if enjoying that makes me immature (it doesn't). The story is fantastic but if your not enjoying the action in between just as much your the ones that need help.

Darkwatchman3670d ago

Ha. I feel bad for you. This scene nearly made me cry. It was beautiful

TheFirstClassic3670d ago

Haven't played this game yet, but the first two witchers had excellent stories, especially the first game. If this one was as good, you missed out.

sevilha823670d ago

Then you dont deserve to be playing this amazing storytelling game,if you play this for the gore alone you dont know what the witcher is all about.

If you read books -than yes. The are most beautiful moments in game.

nidhogg3670d ago

I don't know about you guys but the most beautiful moments for me were those BEAUTIFUL AND WONDERFUL sex scenes. I mean you could carve out an entire story right when Geralt thrust his mighty sword onto the women. Every thrust generates a tear on my eye. Such beautiful display of swordplay from the man of Rivia himself.

linkenski3670d ago (Edited 3670d ago )

Another moment that is just direct in contrast to Dragon Age Inquisition. In all the moments where they share similarities, DA:I made me cringe and Witcher 3 had me hooked.

Eterna1Ice3670d ago

That scene reminded of Leliana's song in Dragon Age Origins, actually. This one has lyrics tho.

Kane223670d ago

this scene was ok. i didn't think it was that great.

GUYwhoPLAYSvideoGAME3670d ago (Edited 3670d ago )

oh my goodness, i've seen a trillion more beautiful scenes in games, and in the witcher 3
