Not good news. This game is so old that it should not happen on new hardware. INEXCUSABLE from Capcom.

Think Sony is at fault here, they outsourced the porting job to another company,Other Ocean.
They have a bad history for messy ports (MK Trilogy)but still we don't really actually know who's mostly in charge since we don't have much inside info, so we can't really point fingers.

Meh, Seeing as this is the one to officially be used by Capcom Pro Tour I can see this being worked on and patched asap.

KwietStorm_BLM2212d ago (Edited 2212d ago )

So Sony outsourced the development/port of someone else's game? Didn't even know that was a thing.

Transporter472211d ago (Edited 2211d ago )

I never knew Sony own SF to the point of choosing who develops the port for the platform. I thought Capcom was the one who did.

nicksetzer12212d ago (Edited 2212d ago )

Capcom is certainly not to blame on this one, they didn't rush the port, nor did they do the port.

If SF5 is broken, then blame capcom.

fei-hung2212d ago (Edited 2212d ago )

Played this for a few hours yesterday and it ran perfectly. That and the game is only £20 with all the dlc so I'm not complaining. Compare this to Injustice being re-released at full cost and not much difference in the graphics department, there is nothing to complain about.

I have one main question here, why is it the article blames Sony, when this is in fact a Capcom issue?

meganick2212d ago

Sony published this port, meaning Sony is responsible for making sure it is released at acceptable quality standards, as any publisher is responsible for the quality of whatever they release.

NovusTerminus2212d ago

Ah, I missed that Sony published this, my bad then. Thanks for correcting me there!

*Inserts foot in mouth*

Born2Game832212d ago

I get what u are saying, but then no developer would be responsible for bad games. Why blame CDPR for Witcher 3 issues, when Namco Bandi published it, why blame 343 for Halo Collection issues, when MS published it. Then the devs have no responsibility at all after the game is finished. Just blame all the publishers.

Baka-akaB2212d ago

What ? it's a port outsourced by Sony to another studios . Of course Sony is to blame , they could have picked better port specialists , and actually glanced at how it was going .

They also failed with the certification process

SpaceRanger2212d ago

All this article kept saying was that SONY needs to fix it, and that SONY needs to take note of it. How do people not understand that it's the developer that takes care of these things.

While competitors may do it, Sony (as a company) almost never interferes or does anything in regards to developers and managing the development of their work. Capcom is the one that needs to handle it ASAP.

MrSwankSinatra2212d ago

Sony published the game, they are the ones that chose which developer to outsource the port to. Therefore Sony are the ones responsible for this.

Heyxyz2212d ago

How do you break a simple port? Man, These companies can be irritating...

gamerfan09092212d ago

Another broken PS4 game? Damn.

Rimeskeem2212d ago

at least it doesn't come with 4 broken games.... I kid, I kid

On topic: Capcom needs to get their sh** together

gantarat2212d ago

Sony published this port not Capcom.

Rimeskeem2212d ago (Edited 2212d ago )

@gantarat

well, whosever fault it is i hope the can fix it soon
