You lie!

The "low" settings on this game still look pretty good unless you have it set to some asinine resolution.

AMD FX 6350
8GB RAM
Radeon 270 R9

High at 900P

constant 60FPS

This PC was 560 euros over a year ago.

R6ex3622d ago (Edited 3622d ago )

Yeah, its pretty even in Low setting.

lol ... occasionally I play TW3 on old Q6600 + GTX 460 PC at 720p (on my 1440p monitor) Low settings ... very playable and rather pretty! On 1440p, its gorgeous but its a stutter fest!

However, I play mainly on my i5 + 970 PC with Hairworks and everything maxed at 1080p. Smooth and pretty gameplay. Loving TW3 and my 970.

Just attach a cucumber to your disk drive with tape and it should replace your heat sink.

I'm starting to wish i would have got the pc version, i cant read the UI text on my TV and i cant stand all the npc labels and speech bubbles. Devs need to work on HUD and make it more adaptive and dynamic. The duashock 4s touch pad can register a touch and a click, why not have the HUD only pop up when i place a finger on the touch pad and fade out seconds after i take my finger off.

Pandamobile3623d ago (Edited 3623d ago )

That kinda defeats the purpose of a HUD (heads-up display).

NeonEnigma3623d ago

Not really since you can pop up the HUD at the touch of a finger. Take a look at the HUD from any recent sandbox and tell me if you actually need all that crap on your screen 100% of the time. Some aspects of HUD are obviously more important than others, that's why i said HUD needs to be more adaptive/situational (health bar only appears during combat). But different players have different preferences, i just prefer less screen clutter and think HUD is an area that devs can improve.

Pandamobile3623d ago

I think you might be confusing the HUD with the UI. HUD is information that developers want on screen at all times (health, weapon selection, etc). User-interface is what you're describing, and I'll agree that it's definitely a major point of improvement for devs to make.

NeonEnigma3623d ago

I know the difference b/t HUD and UI... http://i.imgur.com/88FoLcV.... Do you really need button assignments, a mini map, and a mission objective on your screen at all times? Do you need your health on screen outside of combat? Do dogs chickens and hares need labels? There are smarter ways of presenting HUD, and just because a dev thinks we need all that hand holding and guidance on screen (at all times) doesnt mean we actually do.

Pandamobile3623d ago

I have the useless chicken labels and subtitles turned off on my version of the game, but I can't say I'd want any of the other information off screen.

you could get glasses, sounds like you might need them or just plug your console into your computer monitor...

TheHaloGuy3623d ago

I'm playing on high with rare stutter @ 60 frames and 30 in towns with a BUNCH of civilian pop in. GeForce GTX 760/ i7 4770. Please halp. Also gonna get a 970, will I be able to run on Ultra 60 frames? Don't care if i have to drop resolution to 720.

reversial3623d ago

Do you have the game installed on a SSD? That may be the source of the pop ins.

Skate-AK3623d ago

You should be able to as long as you don't have any bottenecks. I doubt you would even have to drop it under 900p.

sephiroth4203622d ago

lol they lost me at "changed the resolution to 800×600" i tried that with mkx, why play it when it looks like shit, better off upgrading your pc than doing that.

PurpHerbison3622d ago

It probably wouldn't look that bad if you used a monitor with a native resolution of 800x600. RIP CRTS :[

This is a great month for me, I have almost bought Wild Hearts a ton of times and same for Cult of the Lamb.

Some really good variety here, and some serious playtime on offer here with all the RPG's. Good luck finishing all these games in a month heh.

Time Splitters is fantastic on the classic side, and glad to see they keep supporting PSVR2 with games

Really grateful I had the good sense to drop pay to play multi-player. It's a rip off.

Einhander1972253d ago

At least when you buy the basic PS+ tier you actually get new games often including AAA games.

This month PS+ got the Star Wars Skywalker Saga, Five Nights at Freddy's:: Security Breach, and Ender Lilies

Xbox hasn't gotten any new games for their basic tier since July and before that it was in August 2023. And if that wasn't bad enough the games they got were just recycled from game pass.

TheEroica253d ago

14 people downvoted and enjoy paying for something millions of pc gamers get for free. Lol.

seanpitt23253d ago (Edited 253d ago )

They could have included the dlc for the Witcher 3 game of the year addition geez..

How many times do they want to keep putting WD2 on

Einhander1972253d ago

PS+ 17 games this month unlike game pass which only offered 7 almost half of them I got years ago on PS+,.and the rest are indies from companies I haven't even heard of.

And the Sony Pictures movie collection will probably get updated with new movies and shows from Crunchy Roll too.

Not bad for a subscription that costs significantly less game pass even before they raised the prices.

crazyCoconuts253d ago

Still not as good as it was a year ago. I think they're walking back on the quality of games just like XBGP is. It's a good thing though...ppl gotta start buying games again.

darthv72254d ago

For me, the redeeming titles are the Time Splitters ones. Sadly i do not subscribe to premium, only extra.

VersusDMC254d ago

Well you can still buy them. PS2 titles range from 5 (the clone wars) to 20 (tomb raider legend). So it may be a good price.

Becuzisaid254d ago

I'd bet these are in the expensive side. People have been wanting some kind of timesplitters remaster for a long time now.

pwnmaster3000254d ago

I thought it was a pretty good month, then I saw time splitter. It made it so much better. I always wanted to play this game but never did

Deeeeznuuuts254d ago

Not the best month for me other than timesplitters!! Can't wait to replay them again, be nice if they have trophies too but no danger of they don't, can't wait!
