The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt PC Review | Analog Addiction

AA: "Finally, after numerous delays, the most anticipated role-playing game of the eight generation of consoles has arrived. I’ve always agreed that reviews should be viewed as subjective opinions of those whom write them. Yes, the reviewers should be objective when it comes to the 'meat' of said titles – i.e., gameplay – but anything else could be loved by someone and downright hated by others. Well, in my opinion, The Witcher 3 is the best game I have ever played in my entire life, and I’ve been gaming since the late nineties."

Good read.

"Well, in my opinion, The Witcher 3 is the best game I have ever played in my entire life, and I’ve been gaming since the late nineties."

"because of its huge and varied environments, intriguing story, incredible number of unique side-quests, fun combat, loveable characters, and absolutely gorgeous graphics, Wild Hunt is the best role-playing game at the moment. Period. No matter if you’re a PS4, XB1, or PC owner, you simply owe it to yourself to play this one. For now, RPG’s don’t get better than this."

Wow, that's some very strong praise for sure.

I agree with every word in your quote from the review.

I'm 26 hours in and somewhere between 15-20% done as my best guess.

I advise everyone except the worst gamers to play on "Blood and Broken Bones" difficulty as I feel the game was tuned to that difficulty as "normal" and the one below it is far easier. The easiest difficulty is probably something like Gone Home with way more sadness and blood and unicorn sex. Maybe the best walking simulator ever?

Yeah, I'm playing on Blood and Broken Bones and it provides the challenge I crave, but isn't so insanely hard that you get stuck all day in the same spot.

I'm absolutely loving the game too. It's so well written and the gameplay is awesome. It's also the most atmospheric and just plain fantastic looking open-world game I've played. All of this combined simply pulls you into the game like few others.

I agree though. It even managed to top RDR and TLOU as far as I am concerned. That Red Baron quest alone.... My faith in gaming is restored.
