Mystery of Oak Island Kickstarter is a Success

Carl Williams writes, "The creators of Zak McKracken Between Time and Space, Visionaire Studios, are working on their next game, Mystery of Oak Island. Our friends over at Indie Retro News covered Zak McKracken Between Space and Time here, for those interested in knowing more about it. That Zak McKracken title slipped under my radar (there are only so many hours in the day) but it looks pretty awesome. That is why I am so excited over Mystery of Oak Island as it is being handled by the same team. The Mystery of Oak Island Gets Gameplay Video

Serena Nelson writes: "The team at Visionaire Studio just released a short video showcasing some of the gameplay as well as a brief primer on the origin of the legend behind Oak Island. It's all a placeholder and some animations are missing but it gives a good idea of what to expect from the finished product. It also gives an indication of how the humor is going to play out thanks to the interaction with several in-screen objects.

In The Mystery of Oak Island Visionaire take on the centuries-old legend of a supposed treasure long buried in the soil of the island off of Nova Scotia. Their latest update explains part of this legend but I desired to dig a bit deeper into it."

Point And Click Adventure The Mystery of Oak Island Returns

Amanda French writes: "Adventure games appear to be cropping up on Kickstarter almost faster than we can keep up with these days. One of the latest point and click adventures is called The Mystery of Oak Island, and it's based on a real life mystery surrounding treasure beneath Oak Island, Canada. The legend of Oak Island apparently began in 1795, when three men discovered a strange stone with hieroglyphs that indicated a great treasure. For many years after that people searched for it, to no avail. If you want more details on the legend, there's a website out there on the stuff."
