Here at Xbox Culture, we love free stuff, so when we found out AirMech Arena was on the marketplace for free, well, we couldn't wait to get it on our hard drives. AirMech Arena is a free to play futuristic MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) video game developed by Carbon Games. Taking the base building and unit management from a RTS (real-time strategy) and the constant base push of a MOBA, AirMech stands as an interesting hybrid of the two with some fun modes and a fair structure. It's like the equivalent of jumping in to one of the Transformers movies and leading the Autobots to victory.
While this doesn't necessarily specifically represent Transformers. It does give the same sort of vibe. You're a pilot of a Mech suit. Each suit takes on some form of flying vehicle.
But the question is how good is the game?
Welcome one and all to another Free Game Friday. Today averagenobodys take on the free to play game AirMech Arena. I mean how can averagenobodys say no? Robots, check. Flying Vehicles, check. Robots that turn into Flying Vehicles, download complete. Now check out the gameplay:
