One Angry Gamer "Shape of the World, the upcoming simulator where the world literally grows and evolves around you as you move through it, has landed on Steam Greenlight. Hollow Tree Games made the announcement recently that the game is seeking upvotes and favorites on Greenlight before making the journey to the Steam store."
Shape of the World is an ephemeral first-person exploration game where the world grows around you in a procedurally populated environment.
Video games are a broad spectrum indeed. There's room for anything. There's room for everything. It's great that there's room for a game like Shape of the World, a serene, first-person exploration game from fledgling developer Hollow Tree Games.
David Dailey of Blast Away the Game Review Writes: "When booting up Shape of the World there was something distinctly different about this game from ones I’ve been experiencing over the years. First, it’s different from most games in today’s current string of games. It’s one that doesn’t follow traditional gameplay elements as we’ve come to know over the years. At first, Shape of the World is hard to understand, it’s not your typical game by any means.
To put things bluntly. Shape of the World isn’t going to hold your hand, it isn’t going to guide you about as you may think. Rather, it’s going to be a game all about exploring, using your own mind to see the world before you as the developers wish. When you initially load into the game, it’s a game that presents you with a wide-open space"
