I like that "equall" good to see.

TheOpenWorlder3641d ago

Awesome. Lets talk about his beard/hair some more and completely forget how CD Projekt RED fked us with their lies. Solid plan

Tapani3641d ago

What are you on, mate?

They just released the best looking open-world game simultaneously on three platforms for the first time in the company's history. That is one daunting task. In addition, there are no big issues like with other games of this magnitude. Plus, it's a relatively small team for AAA open-world games, especially for three platforms.

Show some respect.

Dude4203641d ago

Funny how these guys out for blood because of one thing, the graphics. Yet they overlook the 100 other things that the dev delivered on (reason for being praised all over the media).

DragonKnight3641d ago

More stupidity crying over the difference between a reveal showpiece and a final product.

I wonder if you cry the same when you go to McDonald's and your Big Mac doesn't look as advertised.

Vegamyster3641d ago (Edited 3641d ago )

I think it has more to do with them telling us there wasn't any downgrade when its kind of obvious the game doesn't look as good as the 2013/VGX footage, not saying it looks bad mind you. they should have just avoided showing off footage that they claimed to be gameplay/in-game so early and these discussions would not exist.

DragonKnight3641d ago

How could there be a downgrade between a showpiece reveal trailer and actual game footage? What you saw in 2013 was a polished PC showpiece. What we see in 2015 is the end result of the work done on the actual game.

Like the link I provided, ads will show you an idealized product, but give you a less than idealized product. It's not a downgrade because a downgrade didn't occur. They showed a polished, hype trailer and then they showed you a real actual gameplay trailer. Big difference and not a downgrade.

Vegamyster3641d ago

They're the ones who claimed it was in-game footage - not in-engine - and said high end PC's would be able to produce the VGX visuals in the final game.

https://a.disquscdn.com/upl...

DragonKnight3641d ago

Read the answer to number 3. Number 3 asks if they're going to put out actual gameplay footage before release, his answer is "not sure, but will look into it."

What this tells us is that up until that point the footage shown was bullshots, not in-game footage. So either CDPR lied about it being in-game footage, or it was a mistype in the trailer, or they mean something different when they say in-game footage.

In the end, my point still stands. People are whining over a promo trailer that's purposely designed to look as good as possible and no representative of the final product, over an actual representation of the product.

Since the days of the PS3 and Xbox 360, gamers have become progressively dumber and more gullible. I don't know if it's in the water, or some kind of mental hijacking coming from the consoles themselves, but only gamers are sitting their whining about this stuff for games but not about literally every other product that does this, like the aforementioned food ads. I don't see the endless butt hurt online over misrepresentations of pizza, burgers, or tacos but I do see it over the difference between two trailers for one game and it's deeply pathetic.

You all act like CDPR showed you a high end PC game but actually gave you an Atari 2600 game instead.

Vegamyster3641d ago (Edited 3641d ago )

"In the end, my point still stands. People are whining over a promo trailer that's purposely designed to look as good as possible and no representative of the final product, over an actual representation of the product."

It's right on their official youtube channel, "Debut Gameplay Trailer" https://www.youtube.com/wat...

If it wasn't gameplay then they shouldn't say it is.

"but only gamers are sitting their whining about this stuff for games but not about literally every other product that does this"

Well this is a gaming based site, I'm not too interested in what a McDonald's burger is suppose to look like.

"You all act like CDPR showed you a high end PC game but actually gave you an Atari 2600 game instead."

Actually in my first comment i said "not saying it looks bad mind you.", in fact i have the game preloaded on my PC and I'm eagerly awaiting to jump in, just because i said the game doesn't look as good as the trailer that they claimed to be gameplay/in-game in no way means i think it looks terrible or the game is low quality, nothing wrong with wanting them to show us this supposed Ultra PC footage that hasn't been revealed.

DragonKnight3641d ago

"It's right on their official youtube channel, "Debut Gameplay Trailer" https://www.youtube.com/wat...

If it wasn't gameplay then they shouldn't say it is."

Did you watch it? It's clearly a conceptual video. Just because it says "gameplay" doesn't mean that someone is actually playing the game, it means "here's an example of the gameplay." AND that still doesn't negate the fact that it's a showpiece trailer purposely designed to look as good as possible to sell you the game on hype.

"Well this is a gaming based site, I'm not too interested in what a McDonald's burger is suppose to look like."

Copout.

"nothing wrong with wanting them to show us this supposed Ultra PC footage that hasn't been revealed."

Wanting them to show you something is vastly different from accusing them of downgrading the game. One is being curious, the other is antagonistic and borders on entitlement.

Vegamyster3641d ago

First image i posted with the dev said the game maxed out will look as good as the VGX/SoD trailer, the game comes out Monday/Tuesday but we haven't seen what the game looks like maxed out supposedly (there is footage on Youtube that claims to be.)Why not just show of the footage to put an end to these kind of discussions if he was telling the truth?

You gave me every reason why it's okay to mislead people by calling it gameplay but call me a copout for not caring about burger advertisements on a gaming site, last i checked there was plenty of other heated debates on downgrades/parity on this site.

DragonKnight3640d ago

"Why not just show of the footage to put an end to these kind of discussions if he was telling the truth?"

Because it won't. Read the comments here, read the comments anywhere, too many people are so stupid they don't understand the difference between a showpiece and an end product. They could show you the game running on the world's most powerful super computer and you'd still be among the people calling them out for being disingenuous or outright liars even though they are simply employing an ancient marketing practice.

If you expected that you'd get a maxxed out game like is shown in showpiece reveal trailers, your naivety is your problem, not their's. They make those trailers under highly controlled circumstances, and last I checked the entire gaming market is not a controlled circumstance. Do you think it'd be right for someone who doesn't have a high end rig to whine that his/her version of the game doesn't look like the reveal trailer when it's THEIR fault they don't have the specs for it? Of course not. So it's not CDPR's fault that they have to think of the majority and not the minority and in the end still give you an amazing looking game, just not the one they showed under the controlled circumstances that most people will not have the resources and equipment to enjoy.

Get over it.

Vegamyster3640d ago (Edited 3640d ago )

The graphical jump from the Witcher 1 to The Witcher 2 wouldn't make it far fetched at all to think the game would would similar to the "gameplay" trailers

http://image.noelshack.com/...

"If you expected that you'd get a maxxed out game like is shown in showpiece reveal trailers, your naivety is your problem, not their's."

They said it was gameplay, they said it would look like that, they said there was no downgrades from the trailers recently, that's been my whole point and you dance around it by calling me naive and imply entitlement. All I've said is if it wasn't going to look like that then they should have avoided calling it gameplay, heck call it in-engine or just wait for a newer build.

"They could show you the game running on the world's most powerful super computer and you'd still be among the people calling them out for being disingenuous or outright liars"

Again, nothing to do with the point i was trying to make. CD Projekt RED i have great respect for because they've been some of the few truthful devs and don't practice stuff like DRM ect. I didn't call them filthy liars or go on a hate filled rant, i made a simple point and you took it the wrong way.

DoctorFry3641d ago

Goodness, get over it instead of totally undermining the game because you were lied to.

Tetsujin3641d ago

Are people still holding a d-ck measuring contest with this game? I swear some people will find anything to whine/complain about, nit pick, and justify their complaining. I'm glad I can actually enjoy the series for once since I missed out due to not owning a 360 or "1337 pc."

I'm going to enjoy the game for what it is, and the idea it fits what I'm looking for in an open world game. This "Oh they lied about X and Y" and "My PC that costs more than your house can run at max settings with ...." can continue while the rest of us who want to enjoy the game can.

alabtrosMyster3641d ago

Just don't buy any game that was presented that way... if it upsets you that much and other follow suit this won't happen again, but don't be selective about your argument (with cops out like, well, I don't care about say target resolution, target frame rate, or well, the game is fun anyway, despite having a little details here and there)... because in the end they're all linked together, especially if you were thinking that the game was running on consoles from the beginning!

Just stop being so negative in your comments, nobody f@3d you, at the worst you were ALMOST deceived (since you have not bought it yet, nothing bad happened).

GamingTruth3641d ago

i have no reason to think it wasnt

methegreatone3641d ago

If the PC version has been downgraded for parity, then yes, it's sad, and CDPR should get flak for that.

However, what does this have to do with this thread lol. This has nothing to do with downgrade. On top of that, this doesn't even have anything to do with the PC version.

This comment has no place here.

Still waiting for Digital Foundry face off to choose in what console version im going to spend my cash.Really need to see the performance face off.

DragonKnight3641d ago

Really? The fact that the PS4 is technically superior and thus outperforms the Xbox One is somehow in question with you?

JasonKCK3641d ago

I disagree. PC is technically superior. I wouldn't call less than a percent "superior". That's like saying mu Pit bull is superior because it has a collar and yours doesn't.

DragonKnight3641d ago

Disagree all you want. He said "console version." Is PC a console? No it is not. Less than a percent? LOL! You wish.

TheCommentator3641d ago (Edited 3641d ago )

I heard the PS4 version still has framerate issues even after the patch. Was the comparison that was done using this day 1 patch?

Rookie_Monster3641d ago (Edited 3641d ago )

Dragonknight, superior could also mean which system runs better, better frame rate, better online and not just resolution. Believe it or not, some people DO prefer fps over resolution. In the recent Digital foundry test of Battlefield Hardline, the XB1 has the advantage of running better even if the resolution is less than the PS4 version. I also seen Devil May Cry HD and Assassin's Creed Unity perform better on XB1 as well with the Digital Foundry tests.

BATTLEFIELD Hardline Digital Foundry:
"On the console front, the equation is far simpler: Xbox One excels in frame-rate metrics this time, and has a much better grip on 60fps compared to PS4. It's the most improved version of the three in its handling of the Frostbite 3 engine, and often runs above the PS4's update during stress tests"

So don't act too defensive and quick to attack others that don't agree with your ideology that your system of choice is "the best for 3rd party ports" when multiconsole owners want to make sure they get the whole truth before buying just like many third party ports were better on X360 last gen but there were certainly some games that performed better on PS3 as well.

DragonKnight3641d ago

@Rookie: Who said anything about resolution? It's a known fact that the PS4 has superior tech and is literally the superior console. ONE game having better framerate, and issue that is about display tech, not graphics, is an exception to the rule, not the rule itself. You're going to try denying that the PS4 has better hardware than the Xbox One? This isn't about preference, it's about FACTS.

Raider693641d ago (Edited 3641d ago )

Im waiting to see what version has the best framerate since i really dont care if the Xbox is 900p and the Ps4 1080p,if the Xbox one end up having smoother and more stable framerate thats the one im picking and more so when the framerate expected is only targing 30fps...i did that with Dragon age inquisition and was the best i did since after testing the two versions was very notable that the Xbox one version of DI run smother and made the gameplay better.I will take performance over graphic resolution everyday especially when the target framerate expected its only 30fps since dips from 30fps to low or mid 20fps are already very noticible to the eyes, not so much when the target is 60fps and dips to the mid or low 50fps.Frankly for me if developers can lock there games at minimum expected framerate of 30fps they should take the path of lowering the resolution, its inadmissible that we gamers are still playing games this generation that have dips in framerate below 30fps!

DragonKnight3641d ago

I literally have never seen a group of people more in denial in my life, who also seem to read what they want to read and not what actually is written. Who the hell ever said anything about resolution? I sure as hell didn't, and yet it's being harped on about over and over.

Delude yourself into thinking the Xbox One performs better than the PS4 all you want, you never seem to think it does until Digital Foundry tells you what to think.

This is a great month for me, I have almost bought Wild Hearts a ton of times and same for Cult of the Lamb.

Some really good variety here, and some serious playtime on offer here with all the RPG's. Good luck finishing all these games in a month heh.

Time Splitters is fantastic on the classic side, and glad to see they keep supporting PSVR2 with games

TheEroica263d ago (Edited 263d ago )

Really grateful I had the good sense to drop pay to play multi-player. It's a rip off.

Einhander1972263d ago

At least when you buy the basic PS+ tier you actually get new games often including AAA games.

This month PS+ got the Star Wars Skywalker Saga, Five Nights at Freddy's:: Security Breach, and Ender Lilies

Xbox hasn't gotten any new games for their basic tier since July and before that it was in August 2023. And if that wasn't bad enough the games they got were just recycled from game pass.

TheEroica262d ago

14 people downvoted and enjoy paying for something millions of pc gamers get for free. Lol.

seanpitt23263d ago (Edited 263d ago )

They could have included the dlc for the Witcher 3 game of the year addition geez..

How many times do they want to keep putting WD2 on

Einhander1972263d ago

PS+ 17 games this month unlike game pass which only offered 7 almost half of them I got years ago on PS+,.and the rest are indies from companies I haven't even heard of.

And the Sony Pictures movie collection will probably get updated with new movies and shows from Crunchy Roll too.

Not bad for a subscription that costs significantly less game pass even before they raised the prices.

crazyCoconuts263d ago

Still not as good as it was a year ago. I think they're walking back on the quality of games just like XBGP is. It's a good thing though...ppl gotta start buying games again.

darthv72263d ago

For me, the redeeming titles are the Time Splitters ones. Sadly i do not subscribe to premium, only extra.

VersusDMC263d ago

Well you can still buy them. PS2 titles range from 5 (the clone wars) to 20 (tomb raider legend). So it may be a good price.

Becuzisaid263d ago

I'd bet these are in the expensive side. People have been wanting some kind of timesplitters remaster for a long time now.

pwnmaster3000263d ago

I thought it was a pretty good month, then I saw time splitter. It made it so much better. I always wanted to play this game but never did

Deeeeznuuuts263d ago

Not the best month for me other than timesplitters!! Can't wait to replay them again, be nice if they have trophies too but no danger of they don't, can't wait!
