I havent bought the game yet because of that censored version. In my country, console games are not launched officially by the gaming companies. The games being sold are imported by the retailers and most of those are imported from the Middle-East and Asia Pacific. At the moment only the Middle-Eastern version is available and as much as I want to play this game, I do not want to buy a butchered version. I will have to wait until my local retailer has the uncensored version available. :-( My agonizing wait continues...

Then you must fail to see how anyone can get aroused from the real thing, since arousal since both are activated by the same part of the brain. The fact that someone can be aroused by any kind of nudity simply means their minds are more sensitive to it. Not being aroused doesn't make one somehow superior to someone who is. But on the other hand, not being aroused also doesn't mean there's something wrong, it's simply the disassociation aspect at work.

Because the brain doesn't interpret it as it not being real. Most of the segments in the brain don't give a damn; the frontal lobe is the only segment that goes "yeah, that's not real" (actually, that's the lobe that dictates most of our actions). This is why you get turned on by pictures and vids of women despite it being obvious the woman is not there.

It's all on a subconscious level, and is similar to why some events can strike us as heartrending or make us feel paranoid. Ever play a horror game or watch a horror movie only to become a kid again with your anti-monster blanket? Or maybe play a game where you felt protective over a specific character? Everything we call "immersive" about characters or the world applies here as well, and is why the "uncanny valley" exists.

I don't get scared with horror movies as I can't blind side the fact that it is pure fiction......not even a serial killer doco stimulates my fear or fight/flight senses. So no, I don't break out the blankey when watching a horror movie.

Possibly, but I would chalk it up to it being that you may be used to it when it comes to horror movies unless you were the same way as a kid. When it comes to attraction, it may be over-development. Pictures, vids, etc don't get to me; even strip clubs have me going "meh" because that's just paying to be teased. The real thing in-person with a real chance of anything happening is about all that gets me lol.

The brain is malleable to the point that it can be fairly intimidating; it's why some people can describe (real or in games) suddenly stop being scared and merely becoming frustrated. That doesn't happen on the first instance, it has to get used to what is going on first.

The reason why I say it can be intimidating, even scary, is this can go as far as total personality changes. Some actors can't get out of character or break into an old one, and some YouTubers actually experienced this. Jeremy Jahns started up as a critic that would rip every movie apart and was needlessly aggressive, and that was killing his enjoyment of movies and risking his friendships because that personality trait began seeping in as being more of a persona. The reason for it is because the brain got used to it, and adopts it so it can do it more often.

It's very rare for a game to get censored in the UK now and when it is it would be for extreme gross sexual violence and not nudity.

The last couple of games I know of that were censored were actually only censored to keep the german government happy because the publishers couldn't be bothered creating a separate UK version version.
