Xur is back in the Tower this week armed with a bag of exotic goodies. Check out what's on offer.
'I WANT THE TRUTH','YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!' :)
Was kinda hoping Xur would've sold the gjallahorn before HOW but that was just wishful thinking lol.
I don't think Xur will ever carry the Gjallarhorn again. You have to earn it.. ;)
What? "you have to earn it", how ? By being lucky... you're off your head mate. stupidity... it's RNG based, how exactly can you earn it.
@Halo2ODST2 - by playing the game. You might get it tomorrow, you might get it next week.. you never know. But you can't just wait around for Xur to sell it, you have to go out there and play the actual game.
Earn it... thats the stupidest thing ive heard! Its frakkin RNG, theres no earning anything in Destiny. Just frakking luck. Thats why barely anybody I know have it even with 100s of hours put into the game. Earn it would be getting it off a vendor for 300 strange coins! Most people would attempt that and Destiny would have more longevity for that reason alone.
@irishyort - someone a little salty? ;) of course there is no rhyme or reason to RNGesus, but you have to play to get it. Some are luckier than others.. but that still doesn't mean you don't have to earn it to some degree. Sitting around waiting for it to fall on your head isn't gonna work. Go out and do some grinding.. you might get lucky.
Nope. It's too OP for PvE, but instead of nerfing it Bungie just makes it hard for people to obtain it, relying 100% on RNG to gift it to you through a Nightfall, Roc Strike, Crucible, or Legendary Engram. Good luck with any of these as you have less than a 1% chance. It truly is a gift from the gods. BTW, one of the funnier comments from Deej during one of the presentations was that he refused to have a Gjallarhorn until everyone else has a Gjallarhorn while he is in the process of dismantling one. Way to rub it in Deej. All that said, Truth is nothing to scoff at either. It still has tracking, but it is not as aggressive as Gjallarhorn nor does it have the Wolfpack rounds. Instead you get "Grenades and Horseshoes" which at least nets you bonus splash damage.
Raid, Nightfall and Crucible are the most likely of places to randomly get this drop so people that are interested in it should make sure that they do the raids and Nightfall on a weekly basis. Contrary to the argument others are posing here I would say that buying Exotics from Xur isn't "earning" them. Earning is when you put forth effort. Playing the game, that time investment, getting those random drops are things you're "earning" because you didn't give up and just wait for an item to be sold. I have 1 or more of every exotic in the game and I sure as hell didn't wait around for Xur to get them. Actively playing that slot machine earned me most of my rewards. @GameSpawn "Truth is nothing to scoff at either. It still has tracking, but it is not as aggressive as Gjallarhorn" The Truth has the absolute, by far, most aggressive tracking of ANY rocket launcher, Gally included. The Wolfpack Rounds, the addition damage they cause and their individual tracking are what make the Ghorn better. Truth rockets will hard bank around a corner for a kill and blow up once they get close enough. If you hear that tracking beep noise before firing it's a guaranteed hit every time. Again, Gally does more damage, Truth has the best tracking.
Wolfpack rounds Gally for House of Wolves would hace been a great idea to bring people back that may have left it... Sadly Bungie didnt think so
yeah I'm guessing we may never see another rocket launcher with a Wolfpack Rounds perk..
