Team Jolly Roger are announcing that the final version of Interplanetary is now available on Steam, leaving Early Access after a year of open development.
"Rocket science, orbital trajectories, and gravity wells are a terrible milieu for guesswork. It’s like a bunch of kids on a merry-go-round hucking rocks at each other, and then setting off fireworks at each other, and eventually shooting guns at each other. All the while the merry-go-round goes round. Did you miss?"
One Angry Gamer "Instead of using the traditional turn-based system found in some 4x strategy games or relying on a real-time strategy setup like the upcoming Starfall Tactics, Team Jolly Roger’s Interplanetary is a game designed for people who only want to attack planets using other planets."
GameGrin's Andy Mcdonald writes: "Interplanetary is one of those games that I didn’t know I wanted until I played it. The concept of the game is simple enough, two or more players representing the leaders of entire worlds are tasked with resource-management and the titular interplanetary warfare. Victory is obtained by decimating the enemy’s cities and reducing their population (by the million!). When a city’s population is low enough, the city will be ruined and once they are all ruined, it’s game over. Cities can be rebuilt over time however, so keeping an eye on your enemy’s activities is essential."
