Omega Deez and Bond OO7 from the DRM Gamecast weigh in on the big question: Xbox One or PlayStation 4?
Xbox One so far
Calling it now. Hottest news by tomorrow when I wake up.
Turbo Graphic 16
Pretty sure it was turbo graphix 16.. Had one but only remember having like 2 games for it lol
LMAO @ n4rc....Me Too!
PS4 obviously. Xbox One haven't had one big exclusive this year so far, not mention It's still struggling with 1080p and inferior multiplats. PS4 is the easy choice and It's not even close.
PS4. You don't sell over 20M consoles on hype alone.
I have both but i have to say my XBO is seeing more of the play time for now. Time between the two will split soon with the release of big games like Witcher3 and MGS5 which i will probably get on PS4, but with exclusives like Halo 5, Tomb Raider and Forza 6 it will be impossible not to play XBO. Although i have an eye on No Man Sky.
Ps4 because I have it and enjoy gaming on it.
@Cruel Always is. Just like how its always subjective. For the 1mth time the best one is the one that suits you the best. And the one that you personally see more overall personal value in. Its really, really that simple. I literally can't simplify it anymore at this point.
Xbox One, becuse I enjoyed most of their games since launch but will finally get a PS4 next month in preparation for Uncharted while finlly enjoying Bloodborne. But potentially for the rest of the year? No doubt XOne, ...potentially! Expecting Halo 5 to be awesome and next-gen defining. ;D
PS4 I guess, but like many things in life too, most people follow stupid trends....
@ PraxxtorCruel You were wrong. Lol.
Wii-u. Mario Kart 8 is serious fun and that Splatoon demo... takes me back to the days I played counter strike (but on a much less serious tone).
I own both and while I got an Xb1 for its exclusives, its jarring to play multiplats on it when I know I could have gotten the better version for the same price. Favorite exclusives so far on each have been Bloodborne and Forza Horizon 2.
Both. Bloodborne has shown me the importacne of having a PS4. Ori has shown me the same for Xbox One.
Ori can't show you the same for the xbox...you can play it on PC. OT: For most PS4 for some Xbox1
Its a mix between bloodborne and ffxiv on ps4 for me and its hands down HMCC on Xbox one for me....still the best remaster collection to date-personal opinion please do not flay me n4g. Edit: also forgot super smah bros and Mario kart 8 on Wii u....k I'm done-NOW YOU CAN FLAY ME N4G, BRING IT, I GOT ENOUGH HEAT FOR THE LOTTA YA!!!!!!!!!
Here we go again.
This question has been answered worldwide. PS4 wins everything at the price it launched at. http://media.tumblr.com/c42...
Just like the 360 was cheaper and out a year before the PS3 and the PS3 still outsold it...
PS4 so far if you're into games, and Share Play is an awesome feature.
Lmao. PS4 if youre into games...okay. Xbox if you're into what? Falafel? Pick the console with the games you like and contrary to what you might read on here, both have great games.
Share Play alone wins the entire debate...
@lifeisgamesok, I agree, XBOX ONE. I would like to play AAA Exclusives for holiday 2015, than Indie Games for holiday 2015.
PS4 has many high quality exclusives in 2015 that Playstation gamers will be playing, including AAA games. PS4 2015 retail exclusive: The Order: 1886, Bloodborne, MLB 15: The Show, Toukiden: Kiwami, Omega Quintet, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, Onechanbara Z2: Chaos, J-STARS Victory VS+, Godzilla, God of War III Remastered, Deception IV, Disgaea 5, Dragon Quest Heroes, Persona 5, Tearaway Unfolded, Until Dawn, Journey PS4 2015 digital exclusive (so far): Helldivers, OlliOlli 2, Super Stardust Ultra, Brawl, Pillar, Hustle Kings, Krinkle Krusher PS4 upcoming digital exclusive (may not all be 2015): Deep Down, Alienation, Drawn to Death, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, Rime, BigFest, Fat Princess Adventure, Guns Up!, Henka Twist Caper, Hunger, Kill Strain, Let it Die, Mysterious Chronicle, N++, Ready to Run, Rime, Shadow of the Beast, Spelunker Z, Super Exploding Zoo, The Assembly, The Tomorrow Children, Wattam, What Remains of Edith Finch, WiLD, Without Memory
Id rather play exclusives year round with multiplats than spend 10 months out of the year with no exclusives...
You do realize there are 12 months in a year, right? The "holidays" consist of 2 of those months.
"Xbox One or PlayStation 4?" Since I play multiplats on PC, none of those consoles are worth it so far, exclusive wise. Have a PS4 and in all honesty, I rarely switch it on.
I would rather ask - PS4 or PS4 Slim? Im waiting for PS4 slim announcement and price cut, that would sell me (and hopefully FFXV release date reveal).
you know instead of simply slimming I kind of wish they'd pack in more 'other' features (the ps4 is already slim and beautiful!): - dual-band super-powered 802.11ac wifi - a massive OS-optimized SSHD hard-drive drive setup that packs huge storage and shrinks load times - maybe even a separate dedicated HD for video/capture archives to prevent it from affecting game data read/write performance - more efficient silicon that can run cooler and quieter - even better built in video encoding to allow 1080p broadcasting without separate hardware
@Lifeisgamesok It amazing the amount of disagrees you get for likeing Xbox One. Bubble Up for enjoying it. It is also Xbox One for me.
Really, life? http://www11.pic-upload.de/... http://www.listwar.com/rele... So far PS4 wins by a land slide. Also, PS4 has exclusive features centered around GAMES like shareplay. It's online network is just as stable and fast as XBL, but the big difference is the quality and quantity of the free games PSN Plus members get. The biggest one for me though is Sony's genuine passion for the industry and their devs, giving them lots of creative freedom and letting them take risks. And of course the whole power gap. Objectively speaking the PS4 wins in virtually every category.
The majority knows the PS4 is the better system. No need to be a troll.
i dont, maybe because its not...
I FINALLY bought a PS4 today, gotta wait until Monday :( I know you don't care........ BUT I DO :D
ps4 allday every day
HALO BRO HALO thats all i have to say \.../
The one where your favorite exclusives and friends are is for you. If you think having all consoles is the way to go so you don't lose the experience of both games, get them. My choice is the PS4 all the way, and his sidekick is the Wii U. I've never been wrong with this dual combo. Nothing against PC or Xbone. I just don't see the necessity of owning them all.
PS4 so far
Can we not?
ps4 for me
If you can afford it get both. Both have something to offer and it all depends on taste. I for one am looking to get a WiiU, they have a lot of games I want to play and i was looking through some back catalog Wii games that I would like to try out thanks to Gamefly and WiiU being BC.
I have a wiiU and all that gets played on it is mario kart and smash.. I love the games but I feel ripped off I paid over £300 (for console and games) to play 2 games.
PlayStation4 beats xbone . this is a freaking obvious answer
I guess X1 owners should be ashamed or something? Return the console for a PS4? What if they wanna play 1st party on X1? Or they like the ecosystem? Btw taking the civil and realistic approach is no good because the community is pretty lopsided and pretty childish. More than half the people will say PS4 and get agrees. If somebody says PC, Wii U and especially Xbox you'll get not only downvoted but questioned by 10 other users who have no respect for your choice and get offended because you didn't say PS4. Its obvious which console is highly favored here that is fact, not opinion. Everything else sucks so PS4 is the best despite is being a highly subjective piece. I know this site like the back of my hand. Its not hard, all you gotta do is look around you to see the proof. Oh well, its just how it is.
The PS4 isn't highly favored "here", it's just highly favored. Though I do agree that people are way to quick to jump on anybody who's not siding with Playstation at every turn. The Xbox One has the advantage in some aspects; last holiday was a great time for the Xbox One (aside from the BS that was the MCC) and this holiday looks to be equally exciting. Some people can't concede any wins for the Xbox One. It was similar last-gen but with the 360 in the favorable lead and people being mocked for supporting the PS3, and for good-ish reasons. There are similar good reasons to go with the PS4 this time around and so it's not like much has changed other than which platform people currently prefer. The thing that matters most is what people look for in a console and that hasn't changed, which is good, that is assuming that they are really looking for those things in consoles at all and it's not just marketing rhetoric running their decisions (once you understand marketing and it's power over our weak minds, you begin to doubt everything in the consumer world, similarly to how fallible our minds are with everything else and how unreliable memories are). Back on topic, I think the PS4 gets it so far. The volume of good games throughout the year just outweighs the few big hitters the Xbox One gets during the holidays, and yes, I do count indies for both since it also bolsters the Xbox One's lineup significantly (this year so far would be absolutely terrible on the Xbox One with not a single exclusive yet if we didn't count indies for the Xbox One, like Ori). I often see people talk up the Xbox One's lineup with indies included but they shrug off indies on the PS4, it's something similar to how PS fanboys can't concede any Xbox wins.
@Ultra "Stop being so bitter will'ya! Learn to take a loss with the chin up for once. " What loss lol? The games on the Xbox One are brilliant. "The ps4 is ahead because it offers the best GAMING experience until now and it doesn't mean your precious xb1 is bad its just isn't the best out of the two currently. " That's your opinion. Justin Bieber sells more than a lot of artist. Then he must be the best music artist I presume right? Silly presumption based on sales. The Xbox has great games I just see people being really bitter about that more than anything. Deal with that. "Or better yet get a ps4 and see the light! ahahahaha" And now I feel silly for replying to someone acting like a juvenile -_-' ^^Sums up the contingent...
@Septic I didn't mention sales but since you did its good to know you are keeping track. And you have to realize sooner than later that taking things too seriously online, especially on a gaming forum is as silly as it gets. Look you were never one to accept the reality, being PlayStation is winning because more people love what it offers nor will you ever so shame on me for even replaying to your small-minded, immature and condescending 'comment'.
"And you have to realize sooner than later that taking things too seriously online, especially on a gaming forum is as silly as it gets" Yeah I'm really chomping at the bits here. "so shame on me for even replaying to your small-minded, immature and condescending 'comment'." Not so serious eh? "The ps4 is ahead because" Ahead how? Got any objective facts?
PS4 and it isn't even close. http://www.listwar.com/
Wow! That listwar site is a serious eye-opener. I never saw a software comparison so detailed. When you see it laid out like that it definitely changes the perspective. Of course, I aim to stand on the side of respecting everyone's subjective view, however seeing this software breakdown says a lot about the success of each platform and where they stand today.
Xbox one for my console needs.
Xbox one was my pick.. Very happy with it
PS4 was my choice best console ever :)
This fanboy garbage is old hat...
I own both, but coming from a PS3 die-hard and launch PS4 owner, I find the Xbox One more convenient and suitable for me, and I am way more confident in MS this generation than Sony. I couldn't have said the same thing last year as I was very sure I wouldn't touch an Xbox One with a ten foot pole. That changed with Phil Spencer, the compelling exclusive lineup, MS' change of heart from their abysmal 360-era business models, the constant but meaningful software updates, the superior online service (since I now have to pay to play online on console, I will go for what service is better), and external hard drive support (a very useful thing, my 500GB HDD didn't last me and currently rocking a mighty 6TB). It's only getting better with Windows 10, remote play using my PC, Halo 5, Quantum Break, Scalebound, the inevitable Gears, and boatloads of unannounced upcoming exclusive games. MS is the only show I am really hyped for this E3. Last year's show was awesome, but if this year will be on the same level or better then most likely we have a winner. All I am expecting from Sony's E3 apart from putting a huge focus on their VR device is more byte-sized PSN titles and indies for the PS4, PS3, and PSVita via cross buy, and not to mention more PS3 remasters.
I am glad I provided some Keyboard Komedy, but that's just my honest opinion. No really. :)
Exactly what I'm thinking. Sony fans are blind not to see this.
Ps4 has external hdd support, and u can stream to psvita, pstv, Android, and pc (w/ chrome browser) right now ! Lol...not to mention higher rates games more third party support, more first party development and a stronger console w/ more features (shareplay) 😜 ...forgot to mention PS streaming works through internet and local, Xbox soon to be released streaming local only lol
@ magiciandude - what compelling exclusive line up? The only exclusives available at the moment are Halo TMCC, Forza, Killer Instinct, and Sunset Overdrive. Hardly compelling (except SSO). You may not be aware, but the rest can be played without an Xbox One. - when it comes to online service, since you are paying for both, you are going for what service is better for you. This is an excellent idea, getting the most of what you are paying for. Do you follow the same guideline for games? I mean, you are paying $60 for either version, do you chose the better version? If so, I assume most of your multiplats are for PS4. - once the Nyko databank is released, the PS4 will support 6TB internal HDD. Which is a lot less expensive than a 6TB external HDD. - I Have 4 TVs in my house. I can remote play to any of them with the PStv. No computer needed, and a lot easier to move around. Or I can remote play anywhere outside my home with my PS Vita. - you mentioned a "boatload of unannounced upcoming exclusives". If they are unannounced, how can you be so sure there are a boatload of them? - As for the E3 hype, the last two E3s have been about games, games, games for Microsoft... And yet, where are they? Where are the games that can only be played on a Xbox console? I'll give you Phil spencer and software updates though, for what it's worth.
-Except Bloodborne, the rest of the PS4 lineup is fluff. -I do my multiplats on Xbox One. I simply like the service better than PSN. What got me on PSN last gen was because it was free. That's changed and so has the quality of PS+ offerings. I had a feeling PS+ would be a Trojan horse for a paid online service, and I was right. It's been a long time since PS+ has offered anything I would actually play, so I am no longer subscribing to that. -I refuse to buy Nyko anything. They're junk, and their products have a track record of harming your consoles. Look at the external fans for 360 and PS3, what makes you think some ugly tumor for your PS4 is more appealing than an external hard drive from Seagate or WD? There is a reason why their products are cheaper, because they are cheap and shady. -Cool, but I can do the same with my laptop once this feature comes to the Xbox One. -Same reasons why Sony fans were sure 2015 will be an amazing year last year, except it is a legitimate expectation. It's very unlikely MS will just sit there and not working hard to regain gamers' confidence in the Xbox brand. Exclusives are the only effective way to achieve that, just like Sony had to with PS3 last gen. Now that PS4 is dominating, they can just sit there and take it easy. Activision can recycle the same old engine for Call of Duty and do marginal changes for each installment with minimal averse effects. -There are some, and more is coming. Sony delayed all their major upcoming releases until next year, even though they already had nothing going for them during the holidays with the exception of leaning on cross-platform games like Call of Duty and Battlefront. This year looks to be almost as lackluster as last year for the PS4, just slightly better. To be fair, Tearaway Unfolded will be good, but I doubt most people will bother with it. Until Dawn might be great. There are some indies that are hyped up like Rime, No Man's Sky, and Everyone's Gone to the Rapture. They seem really interesting and hopefully they deliver what gamers wanted.
Fluff? You mean like what Microsoft did at launch? Fluff their lineup by abandoning the 360 and porting the launch games to Xbox One. The PS4 exclusives are not fluff, you may not like them, but that's your opinion. These games were developed for the PS4 and are quality titles (meaning they are not mere ports). The PS4 has nearly double (probably more than) the exclusives available than the Xbox One, just accept it. BTW, the Nyko databank is merely a means to house an internal HDD, they don't actually make the HDD. So your point about their products failing is moot since a piece of plastic cannot fail. So you intend to remote play to your laptop then plug it into your TV. May as well just move the Xbox One to the TV since you are going to have a bulky laptop plugged into the TV, not to mention plugged into an outlet for power (otherwise your laptop would die within a hour or two). The PStv is an inconspicuous, inexpensive, and clutter free option. Oh, and I can do all this today. Even with Sony's delays they still have more games releasing than Xbox. Think about that for a bit. Xbox has Halo 5 coming out, which I am actually quite interested in. Then there's Forza, the CoD of racing games with yearly releases (Xbox fanatics won't admit it though).
Sony World Wide Studios is very large and they are working on AAA PS4 games. Sony will also have more deals with 3rd parties for exclusive Playstation games. Expect "boatloads of unannounced upcoming exclusive games" to be announced this year from Sony.
We're still doing articles like this? One word: Subjective. If you can afford both, you'll realize both consoles are fantastic. You don't really lose whether you get an Xbox or a PS4. Definitely will hit 1000 degrees by tomorrow morning.
Yeah and you can guarantee that those who say they chose xbox one will have more disagrees than those who chose ps4 as is already happening as some people just can't accept someone elses preference if its anything other than the ps4
If u can afford both then PC would be the better choice.
