Finally some Xbox One footage, and it looks very good. Seems like CDPR really did a fine job with all ports.

RocketScienceLvlStuf2353d ago (Edited 2353d ago )

If it's anything like COD AW it will spend 95% of the game at 900p. We will see though.

I'm interested in the Witcher 3. Unfortunately it's only the lower res xbone footage that is currently being shown. It would be nice to get some footage in 1080p for a change. You know.. the current standard.

falviousuk2353d ago

You e joy counting your pixels, Ill enjoy immersing myself in the game.

happy gaming

christocolus2353d ago

Lol. Why are you so interested in xbox one?do you own the console?will you be getting this version of the game?

BecauseImBatman2353d ago

Well I'm sure you know more about what's going on behind the scenes more than any of us. If the game was gonna spend 95% of it's time in 900p why would they bother adding dynamic scaling between 1080p and 900p... I mean that is time well spent. Sense made.

meche3342353d ago

cod Aw ran in non-native 1080p 1360x1080

Svinya2353d ago

Go away troll. Pretty please..

PistolsAtDawn2353d ago

B) wouldn't be able to tell anyway

someOnecalled2353d ago

Is doing the same a killzone. So does that mean killzone sf only spent 5% of the time in 1080p

VealParmHero2352d ago (Edited 2352d ago )

@rocket...way to troll. almost all of the footage thus far has been from pc or ps4. We finally get some xone footage, which looks great btw, and all you can do is complain about the res. I don't get it. Strange.

UKmilitia2352d ago

well according to xbox owners there is no difference between 900p and 1080p.
so does it matter?

Ryan7412352d ago

Are you OK? You seem like a right Debbie downer.

Trekster_Gamer2352d ago

Rocket science...
Troll elsewhere...
The Xbox One version looks great.

Yes they did, I would much prefer the resolution taking a hit to the framerate (especially since it's limited to 30 fps) but I'm getting the PS4 version so here's hoping its performance is solid throughout the whole game. I trust the developers have used the machine to the best of their abilities...

TheCommentator2353d ago (Edited 2353d ago )

Dynamic scaling is a nice function of XB1 designed to lock fps. If res is up at 1080 until the system begins to stall, the two versions will look similar most of the time, so it's a good compromize. Solid fps provides better gameplay as well so it's a win/win.

dantesparda2353d ago

Wow, you're extra delusional, eh? Dynamic resolution does not lock the framerate, I mean just look at COD AW on the X1, that's nowhere near a locked framerate and its spends 90% of its time in the lower res mode. Now disagree away like all you fanboys love to do.

UnHoly_One2352d ago

IGN's review says that the PS4 version struggles to hold 30 fps at times.

No word on the Xbox One version, but hopefully the fact it is 900p part of the time means it holds steady in framerate.

methegreatone2353d ago

Game looks brilliant on XBOX

Although there's no more blood floating on the water during fights, which kind of sucks, that was an awesome effect in 35 minute demo :(

PistolsAtDawn2353d ago

X1 footage has been available for over a just had to be able to speak Arabic.

Either way this game looks fantastic...easily one of my most anticipated titles this year.

Christopher2353d ago

If you can find a download of the full 1.6GB video, it looks way much better than the horrible YouTube upload.

It looks good, but the fast movement was sometimes harsh on my eyes with too much moving on screen at once. Might be just me and the fact I see out of one eye, but few games make me feel annoyed with too much happening at once.

I will say... best dynamic environment omission in a game I've seen this generation. When you're in combat and you move behind a tree... it goes away. You don't get limbs or part of it on screen. The game knows you need to see what's around you and they don't hide it from you. Thank you, CDPR.

MasterCornholio2353d ago (Edited 2353d ago )

"Might be just me and the fact I see out of one eye,"

I'm sorry for your loss.

I can understand why you would feel that way when playing some games.

BigBosss2353d ago

I must say, this game is looking fantastic across all 3 system; PC, PS4 and the Xbone! It's a win win for everyone to enjoy such beautiful game and CDPR really nailed it with W3! So proud of you guys and congrats on exceeding 1 million pre orders! Come on May 19th :)

Palitera2353d ago

Hell yeah!
Have fun, everyone!

starchild2353d ago

Yeah it really does look awesome on all three platforms. THIS is the way you make a multiplatform game.

buttclown2353d ago

CDPR is one of the few developers that actually seems to care about their fanbase and listen to it. There was little hesitation for me to preorder this game after playing Witcher 1 and 2.

Eonjay2353d ago

This video feed looks awful... You tube is really past its prime and the compression is horrible.

AngelicIceDiamond2353d ago (Edited 2353d ago )

Maybe somebody can upload an uncompressed feed version. Because this honestly hurting my eyes.

EDIT:1 @Blood and @Transistor Thanks for the update.

EDIT:2 Yeah the gamersyde footage is 5x better. Now I can safely say the X1 version holds up well.

2353d ago
Eonjay2353d ago

Wow you weren't kidding. Its at least 5x better.

Transistor2353d ago

Gamersyde is uploading footage shortly.

someOnecalled2353d ago

You would think the would have solved this with all the money that they make.

UltraNova2353d ago

YouTube is mass market where the average internet speeds they have to work with are pitiful hence the horrible compression.

BUT what stops them from creating a YouTube sub section (just like the MUSIC one) where interested channels can upload HQ uncompressed videos?

Maybe Google doesn't want to quadruple their YouTube storage servers for us gamers?

Transistor2353d ago

Good they got it to scale between 900p and 1080p, last I heard it was just 900p.

ThePope2353d ago

Technically it was 900p upscaled to 1080p. Now its 1080p native or 1080p upscaled.

Transistor2353d ago

That's like something Aaron Greenberg would say, I would recommend not saying things he says.

It's not a good look.

AsheXII2353d ago

Dynamic 1080p means that the game drops to 900p in intense sequences and then switches to 1080p in less demanding moments. Its a good solution.

bleedsoe9mm2353d ago

this game is very pretty on the xb1
