We have a lot of beautiful looking racing games out there, but non of them are a gorgeous looking 1980's inspired arcade sci-fi racing that's set in the future in the year 2000 like Power Drive 2000.
VVV: "Developer Megacom Games have been trying to get the project off the ground with a Kickstarter campaign, which ended today. Fortunately, it was a resounding success raising $52,114 by 1,960 backers, exceeding its original $45,000 funding goal and securing a final release on PC, Mac, Linux and PS4.
In the meantime, a bitesize playable demo of Power Drive 2000 in pre-alpha form was released to whet our appetites, which Alan samples in a brief gameplay video run. And yes, it does support triple screen."
Power Drive 2000 mines the 80s for a visual flair that’s applied in ways both obvious and subtle, leaving no inch of screen or aspect of design untouched.
I find myself constantly returning for "one more ride", I love this little pre-alpha.
I love the 80's. I think I will buy any game with a 80's theme. I think this is why Vice City was so popular.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is awesome, another 80's theme
Power Drive 2000 is an amazing sci-fi arcade racer set in a neon filled 80’s vision of the year 2000, complete with an awesome synth wave soundtrack and a ridiculously fast talking car.
Yeah looks cool not sure what it is worth will check it out on steam or keep it in the wish list for summer sale time, the 80s were fun this reminds me of playing tron at the arcade .
