I really wish it was from Sony. Getting there attention is good, but also bad imo. Sony lets there Devs make what they want. So if no one wants to make the game, they would contract it out to an unrelated 2nd party dev team, and that has rarely gone well in the past for Sony games. All I can think is Sly 4 basically being good from that. No others.

I don't really see the 'bad' (aside from the obvious letdown to the fans), I think if these little projects get some decent exposure in games press the folks up top at Sony might actually pay heed, or at least consider the idea of reviving an old series :)

Sony does these kind of stuff all the time. Every e3 Sony shows a cgi trailer of a "game" that never gets made but atleast Sony knows how to get you guys hyped at e3 even if some of those trailers ever ends up being exactly that cgi trailers.

Most new game reveals are CG trailers, including games like Halo 5, Forza 5, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, etc.

Every major game developer does the same thing, it is Hypocritical to single out Sony for using CG for new game reveals.

I'd love for a new MediEvil game to be made for PS4.....Also, a new Syphon Filter for PS4, Twisted Metal, Destruction Derby, Socom, Blasto, Jet Moto, The Getaway, etc, etc...

But the sad truth is, the ultra talented developers that made MediEvil, were ignored for there efforts on PS2...Primal is a PS2 classic, & Ghosthunter was also a brilliantly fun title for PS2, from the same developers. But PS2 owners were crap, & failed to support the more awesome gems, such as these, Ico, SOTC, Psychonauts, Okami, BG&E, etc, etc...same with Xbox owners...they were also too busy sucking Bungie d1ck, while ignoring the aforementioned multiplats, along with Strangers Wrath, Chronicles Of Riddick, & other freaking awesome standouts.

And, for our ignorance of some truly great developers, they have now gone the way of the dinosaur...
In fact, teams like Cambridge Studios (of MediEvil fame) & Team Soho, (The Getaway), Sony rewarded these brilliant game makers, by delegating them to sh1thouse Home & Singstar content.....while they let Team Ico, do sweet F.A. for a paycheck for the past ten years, since SOTC. What gives... Zipper delivers 3 or 4 games on PS3, PSP, & Vita, London Studios delivers 3 or 4 awesome Wipeout games for PS3, PSP & Vita, & the list goes on, of developers that delivered in spades, only to either get axed, for demoted & meshed in with other teams, with the extra staff being sent to the welfare lines, while the Japanese developers are given a FREE pass for delivering NOTHING for 6-7years (the entire PS3 gen, & over a year of current gen)....

It sucks HOW many great western developers have been axed, from Sony (& to a smaller degree MS)...
I would have liked to see Sony buy some of THQ's teams, like Vigil especially, as there Darksiders games rule. Also, Sony should have saved Free Radical, as these guys were my fave FPS developers...I mean, the TS series, is still the most PURE FUN I have had, in a console FPS...The couch based MP was to die for. Haze may have dropped the ball, to a degree.., but, I enjoyed playing through it, & didn't think it was as bad as made out to be.. In fact, it was a FAAAAR superior, FUN, experience for me, than the totally overated (by many) Perfect Dark Zero....that game was a POS.

Anyway, I hope Sony revitalize the MediEvil series, as a start, as it was probably my favorite platformer of that gen.
