Hard to appreciate the visuals in a game like this when the youtube video maxes out at only 480p.

Dlacy13g1262d ago

Yeah ... kind mind boggling that someone would try and capture video & upload in this day and age in sub HD quality.

AndrewLB1261d ago

I almost wanted to cut the guy some slack due to youtube's "Processing" crap where initially only 480p is available, followed a while later by 720p, then 1080p, etc.

Unfortunately, that is not the case. He's just an idiot that someone turned loose on the internet with no regard for anyone's sanity.

ugh... humanity is doomed.

watching this word came to mind. "annoying"

Attention video uploader. Most channels have moved on to 1080p and 1080p60fps, get with the times.

Ok, the footage may be annoying but not as much as the guy narrating all through it.

Totally my bad, guys and gals! Sorry about the quality trouble!

It was my first attempt at video capturing and editing on my computer, and after 8ish 9ish hours of rejiggering OBS' settings, shooting, editing, trying to work out the quality bit without frame drops, come 3am, I threw my hands up.

Again, apologies if your eyes are bleeding! I’ll do my best to fix that crap for next time.

Do you have a nvidia card?

ChouDa1262d ago

Running on a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 680! Circa 2012.

CPU wise, Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost).

I want to say it's my lack of understanding with OBS and bitrate and quality balance... and things, but then again, not sure until I really get into the testing of things. What do you recommend?

tcozzens1260d ago

Use Nvidia's Shadow Play if you are just recording for, say, uploading to YouTube. No need for bitrate adjustments or anything.
